I just bought one at Home Depot. Big Mistake. It's very very flimsy. Has a piece of wafer board on the bottom and says you need to put 300 to 500 Pounds of Concrete under it to hold it up. The finish chips if you look at it to hard. Everything that comes with it, like the overflow is EXTRA.

This is my third AS soaking tub. First two were great and came as described. The one I've just put in was cut square but the tub impression along with all other parts of the tub were off up to 3/8 of an inch. I figured i could work around the errors but found as i went that it was very difficult. being off center made tiling, setting, plumbing more difficult. I wish i had taken it back for a new one but it didn't fit in my time frame.

The acrylic on the tub chipped in several places during installation. We returned the tub.

This tub requires A specific drain that does not seal

I ordered a Non-whirlpool tub. When I got the tub home weeks later I saw that they had still cut out a huge access panel into the side of my new bath tub! And that access panel is held in place by 4 - 1/2in. x 1/2 in. pieces of velcro!!! Why would I need a giant hole cut into my new bathtub?

When my handy man arrived and we tool the tub out of the box, it was setting next to the sliding glass door and you could see the sunlight thru parts of the wall of the tub. I return the tub.

The drain unit did not have all of the screws needed to put it in place. Still waiting for replacements. It's been weeks.

My contractor just finished installing this very sculptural deep soaking tub...I read the review about the "ring developing around the tub about 2 inches up" and I see what seems like a slight discoloration in the white finish on my tub also. Mind you, I have not yet used the tub, so I wiped it clean and felt the tub in this area and there is a slight inward curve around the entire tub at that level, so I'm guessing it's what is causing the finish to appear discolored, like an optical illusion, or a shadow. Anyway, I can live with it. The tub is roomy and deep, beautiful shape, overflow on the top so you can really fill it up. I had an American Standard Tub similar to this in my previous house and that's why I chose this one. Overall, I'm very happy.

Design of integral apron was not as expected. Panels made tub less attractive and the tub does not come in Artic white only white which isn't a true white color.

We love our new tub. We also got a great price while shopping online.

My previous tub was only 9" deep. It looked like a tub for a child. I wanted a deep soaking tub. I love that the overflow for this tub is at the very top, so you can have much more water. The arm rests are great on the inside as well. The tub is set on a base of concrete so when you step in it is a solid feeling, not flimsy. I would definitely recommend this tub.

Having purchased the first tub, our contractor noticed how thin the undercoating was so we reported it and the supplier had a gentalman come out the same day. He found a defect in the tub and the supplier with American Standard authorization sent out a replacement at no additional cost. The new tub looked alot better but it has taken my General Contractor over four hours, tub in andout to try and get the drain ti stop leaking. We may take the tub out again and prep the underside around the drain to make sure it is flat and even. We are also trying a thicker washer. My wife can not wait to soak in this since it is over 18 inches.

Just had this tub installed 4 months ago. I have cleaned it regularly as per manufacturer's directions, yet the tub had developed a ring about two inches up. I've never had this before with any tub. I do not recommend! I am very disappointed that after going through the mess and expense of a bathroom remodel, I am stuck seeing this each morning. I have never posted a review before on any product....I hope that someone benefits from my error or the company does something to improve the quality of the finish.

Our awful 1978 stock cast iron (9" effective depth) tub rusted out and needed replacement. I'm a 6'4" bath junkie and so usually only half of my body would ever be in the water. After many hours of online research comparing hundreds of tubs, we settled on this 5' Evolution as the best, deepest tub we could find for such a small space. Between its increased height, comfy shape, and max-volume overflow design, I am now a very happy camper! The only downside I can foresee would be if you have physically disabled or elderly folks using the tub: the sides are a bit high and getting in and out (from lying prone) takes a bit more effort and coordination than with a typical, shallower tub. One note: since the tub basin is unsupported plastic/acrylic, make sure your installers mount its basin onto a solid mound of concrete (or equivalent) so it doesn't strain, squeak, or split. (Fortunately, our installers did a great job.)

This tub is nice and deep and is a good choice for someone who wants an economical soaker to fit in a 5 foot alcove. However, getting one that wasn't defective was nothing short of a fiasco. The first one had a defective drain hole that caused it to rain buckets of water into my kitchen when tested. The second had the overflow holes drilled in the wrong place so that the overflow couldn't be installed. American Standard sent someone to patch the holes and re-drill. It ended up working in the end, but from start to finish the entire ordeal with both bad tubs was over six weeks.

This tub is not very long at only 5 feet ( that's all we had room for) but it's depth makes up for it. Very comfortable for soaking and holds the water temperature, no need to replenish. Modern. sleek design and easy to clean with one of those extension brushes. You need to order the max drain to go with the tub. Order came in quickly but first tub was damaged and had to be returned for another. Be sure to check tub during delivery or store pick up. No need for home delivery, my husband and teenage son lifted it out of the truck no problem.

Be aware that you need to order special, longer overflow drain tube. This is not noted any where on Home Depot's web site. My plumber arrived to install the tub but that had to be delayed for a extra week due to the lack of special overflow drain tube. The tub can't be installed without it.

We added a heater to keep the water warm while circulating. I used this tub every day for the 4 years we had it. It relieved my back pain. It is a great tub.

Great deep soaking tub at the end of a hard day can fill this right up to the brim.
