The design works it was not welded properly for the heavy job and vibrations it has to endure. All spools where only welded 1/2 around, that let the spool and the hub start to move and eventually broke all the welds. I did also notice the welds had very poor penetration, inexcusable in this day of robot welding. So I had to dissemble clean off all the paint and reweld the entire unit. no problems after that. There is no excuse to not weld this tool 360 around the axle. The way you are doing it it is creating opposing forces on the weld(push/pull) that's an obvious engineering mistake, and an easy fix. Disappointing.

WENT TOGETHER EASY. WORKED FINE IN THE LAWN. MADE PLUGS AS EXPECTED. ONLY USED ONCE, DID AROUND 22,000 FT2 OF YARD AND THEN OVER SEEDED. BECAUSE IT IS SMARTLINK, IT CAN BE STORED SEPRATELY FROM THE FRAME.

I expect to a complete system. In reality it was just the aerator and did not include the platform to attach to a lawn tractor. I ended taking it back and found a complete aerator on OfferUp for $150.

Assembly is straightforward and pretty easy once you get going, but having a few pages of instructions instead of just a diagram would’ve been helpful during the assembly process. While it is possible to install the aerator onto the SmartLink platform by yourself, the process of doing so would be simplified greatly if Agri-Fab could provide a horizontal floor stand for the aerator attachment that could also be used in the installation or detachment process. Once installed on the SmartLink platform, the aerator attachment itself performs well and does the job as expected. The knives are very sharp, well-designed, and penetrate the soil well - especially with weight added to the SmartLink platform tray. The amount of weight needed to achieve your desired penetration depth will vary depending on how compacted, wet, or dry your soil is. Overall, it’s pretty easy to use and does a good job of aerating the lawn. I’d definitely recommend this implement for DIY lawn care enthusiasts.

Made a frame to attach to the 3-point on my garden tractor, installed the plug aerator and it worked perfect. It pulled 3" plugs on wet grass.

I own 5 Agri-Fab products. This was one of my recent purchases. It failed due to some bad welds. During the pandemic, they couldn't get enough welders - so they instituted an automated welding machine, resulting in some bad welds due to start-up issues. Sarah in customer service was great. Instead of replacing just the parts that failed - they shipped me replacements for ALL the parts that might have been affected. I would recommend Agri-Fab products to all my friends.

I'm hoping for a nicer dinner lawn. I was told to dethatch and aerate. I bought the SmartLINK base, dethatcher and plug aerator. We will see. I also overseeded and liked. Wil fertilize when the grass shows up.

bought 1 week ago went together easy well built only had one hole missing in handle that i was able to drill in myself and finish the project

First time owning my own aerator so all I can say is that it seems to be well built. Had no problem in the NC clay which was a bit of a concern for me. I need to dial in the amount of weight I will use in the future. For the initial use I just put the two 40lb bags of seed on the platform.

Worked well. Added 80lbs to the top of the unit and it gave good deep plugs. 2 to 2.5 inch inches long.

The idea of the system was great. The actually housing this goes in broke the support welds twice without even being able to use it one time. we ended up returning everything

Purchased the aerator and the dethatcher. Both work great! Very pleased.

This works perfect for the front quick hitch for my JDX750 that I am building. The Plug Aerator is all I need. If I had bought a complete pull behind, I would have parts that I do not need plus the additional cost.

The plug aerator works really well. It was easy to put together. I put some weight(120 lbs) on it and was on my way. I did a half acre in no time at all.

The metal spikes are sharp and heavy duty. Living in NH I have rocks in my back yard just below the surface and not one spike was bent after multiple uses just before I over seeded this fall. I now have great new grass growing were the plugs were removed and this aerator quality is great.

I adapted the Smart Link Lawn Core Aerator for a mid-tine Honda rototiller. This required cutting the metal rod and welding two pieces of tubes to each side. Works great and the weight of the tiller is all you need. Turning is no problem either. I have probably voided my warranty but it was worth it.

Lawn swipper the tubing of the hitch is way too thin and the holes have become oblong and can not tighten the hitch bolts enough

Consumers are willing to pay a few extra bucks for a better product and you guys are very close to having a better than average product. For Starters, The wheels need to go . Hard plastic and CHEAP!!! How much would it cost to upgrade the wheels, $10 bucks.... Secondly, please use the same bolt size throughout the product. Your product is mostly stamped metal and you it would be very easy to accomplish and I bet it would be cheaper in the long run. Less change of people calling ore emailing you to send more bolts since someone miscounted. Lastly, make the Tray an inch or two bigger so each side could hold three concrete box snugly or reverse the bolts in the directions so that the three box could fit.

Bought this along with the master platform. Instructions were poor. Shows the bolts holding the plug spears backwards. Would clog the plugs. Had to reverse them all. Also missing 8 5/16" lock washers. I have stock so no big deal. I loaded 80 lbs on it and it pulled plugs like mad. Have to go slow and lift on turns. With the weight it's difficult to lift. Overall did a great job. Don't think this is light duty. Very heavy and strong. Well built.

I love the idea of interchangeable item such as this. It works well but took some time to get the weight I needed on top correct to get it to work smoothly. Once I figure that out it worked like a charm and the best part is that I don;t have a bunch of individual systems around. One one draw back would be the cost to start off and the cost of the individual items but if you can get by this it is worth it. The construction is by far better then individual items. In my mind it will out last anything you put up against it.
