This dehydrator is great for several reasons. Love the analog switch (no emf) with just a simple on/off switch in red, and the simple dial for temperature. Because I dehydrate at 105 degrees, it is fairly easy to just check every once in a while to see if my kale chips are ready. It was easy to make a recipe with 1 lb of organic baby kale in one batch in this dehydrator. I made dehydrated organic bread, crackers and fruits. When making my bread/crackers, I used parchment paper over the tightly woven trays, which was bought separately at the stone. It is fairly small in size, and fits great in the kitchen on the corner countertop. The trays are easy to clean, and there are regular plastic trays, and tighter woven flexible trays that go on top.

Wanted a dehydrator with the fan in the back, found this one at a reasonable price. Purchased it for a father’s day gift and I have had it running almost every day since it arrived, and we love it. We simply load it, set the temperature and turn it on. It does not have a timer, but that is not an issue for us. Would definitely purchase again.

This is not my first dehydrator. However it is my favorite. I love the way it works, cleans and stores. My only complaint is the instruction booklet that came with the dehydrator. Lacks information and recipes. Easy to use and design makes it easy to clean.

Ive had this dehydrator for a couple of weeks now. I've made beef jerky and apple chips. Works well and is very quiet. Best dehydrator I've owned so far.

This dehydrator was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. It fits on the counter perfectly, and has enough trays to dehydrate more than one thing at a time, which is a huge plus! Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a dehydrator, and let me mention that the price was a steal!

The Aroma Professional 6-Tray Food Dehydrator was set up yesterday to dehydrate some apples and bananas. After reading the simple instructions the unit was wiped down and the trays washed/dried as instructed. The next step was to turn it on for 30 minutes and afterwards wipe the inside and wash the trays again. The apples and bananas were prepared as instructed and dehydrated per the instructions. The dehydrator did and very good job and I was really pleased with the dehydrator fruit. Looking for forward to dehydrating other types of fruit and food.

I purchased this as a gift for my daughter in law. She love it. She does a lot of dehydrating from her garden and says this makes her job of drying so much easier and faster. Happy with this purchase.

The dehydrator arrived quickly and works like a dream. It is very spacious and quiet. I have used it for fruits, herbs and vegetables. I will be looking to use it on jerkies shortly.

Received quickly and in great condition. I panicked a little when there were no instructions or hinges for the door, then realized it just slides down into channels on either side of the front opening. Brilliant! At first I was a little sad that the shelves were the same type of plastic I had problems with on my ancient Mr. Coffee dehydrator, but these came with a secondary flexible mesh sheet that sits on the plastic tray so your fruit/veggies/meat are not in direct contact with the tray. They wash up very easily in warm soapy water, and fit in [my] sink so I can use a scrub brush. The unit is very simple and very quiet. I had never owned a brand new dehydrator, so I wasn't familiar with the need to run it for a bit and then wipe the insides and wash the trays. Good thing I read it in the reviews (and there is a reminder in the box with the dehydrator). I have to admit that I wasn't sure if the solid plastic tray that was included was for fruit leather, so I used it on the bottom of the dehydrator rather than have a bunch of dried crumbs in the not-quite-as-easy-to-clean bottom area. If it actually is a fruit leather tray, it would be nice to be able to purchase some more! I'm really glad I bought this unit.

I have had great success so far.

Excellent dehydrator, have used it about 8 times so far with no problems, running for 8-12 hours at a time, sometimes for 24 hours straight. A bit slower than vertical kind, but MUCH more evenly and so much easier than those round stacking trays. Can't believe I didn't get this kind sooner. Build quality is not as tough as an Excalibur but works just as well and less than half the price.

This is the good dehydrator. The delivery was in time. I like it.

Great dehydrator. Works consistently and quickly.

I’ve completed a batch of cayenne peppers and tomatoes with this dehydrator. It is easy to use. The size is ample. It uses minimal energy and doesn’t heat up the kitchen too much. The noise level is low enough to run it overnight undisturbed. I wouldn’t recommend for a small kitchen.

Easy to use with good results. Minimal footprint for the volume of space available to use for drying. Seems quiet, although I don't have a comparison.

The only thing I worry about is plastic trays.

This 6 tray dehydrator with mesh layers is super! You could dehydrate nearly anything in it. Seriously, it is that big and roomy! I didn't expect it to be that large but it will allow me plenty of space tp make my trail mixes, peaches, pears, apples and venison jerky treats. I like the fact that the mesh drying sheets are included, that saves finding the correct sizes and having to order them separately. I can't wait for my pears to be ready for picking so that I can begin the process. I am definitely satisfied.

I have made beef jerky for years in a circular, fan less, bottom heating element unit. This is the cream of the crop if you like to dry your own produce or make jerky. It has a temperature control from 95 to 155 with a fan in the rear of the unit for even air flow. The fan is quiet and pretty large, taking up almost the entire back of the unit. This insures LOTS of air flow to dry more evenly WITHOUT discoloration of the food or having to rotate the racks. It comes with an easy to understand manual, is simple to use, and has a 5 year warranty. There are 6 trays that come with the unit, but it probably could hold another 6 which you would have to buy separately. Shelves are adjustable with a space of a little over an inch between them if all 6 are used, but you can use them as needed. Also has mesh sheets for drying herbs or making fruit roll up like leather. What I liked was the plastic 12x13 inch trays are made without BPA which can be harmful, and the door is clear so I can see my food. There is a nice top vent to release moisture as the foods are drying too. Plus, there is a DRIP TRAY which most dehydrators do not have. This makes cleaning easier. I used this with mangoes, bananas, and pineapple. I LOVE the concentrated taste that drying creates. Food was not dried out and brittle, it was soft and leathery, with a clean taste, unlike chemical tasting, store bought, commercially processed dried fruit. I filled it, turned it on, and emptied it the next day. Easy, nutritious, and delicious. Nice product and a has better features then more expensive units.

I just love this dehydrator. I had some bananas and apples on hand and sliced them less than 1/4 inch thick. After watching this helpful video (https://youtu.be/nZTwXWrg--E) I set the temperature and left it for about 12 hours. I might add that it ran quite quiet. The taste of the banana and apple chips was phenomenal. I have a garden of herbs and can't wait until I dry them. This saves so much money from purchasing dried fruits, etc. Easy to clean tray at bottom. This size is perfect for 1-2 people. A larger dehydrator would be beneficial for larger families. Did I say I love it?

Aroma Professional 6-Tray Food Dehydrator with the square design that lets you rotate the trays for even drying worked great on the jerky we made. This was quiet and efficient and dried evenly with turning the trays once halfway through and dried jerky a few hours faster than my old one did with a side by side comparison. This includes a drip tray and some mesh tray liners so the loose or smaller items won't fall through, I would buy this again!
