It was easy to install the water softener. There's only a few connections and in my case a water loop and outlet was installed by the builder. The biggest install issue was the plumbing used expansion fittings so I had to get a tool for that. I installed a clear water filter cuz I wanted to see the filter instead of using the one that came with the Aquasure 48,000 system. I installed a softened water hose bib in the garage for washing a car. Then I decided later that I also wanted hot water, so add another hose bib. Used a wye connection that is used mostly for washers. But it works in this situation. Installed a 1-in water bypass connection so I can use it to change out the water filter or if for some reason need to shut off the water to the water softener I can use it instead of the bypass on the tank. I had Home Depot deliver it directly to the house when I ordered online. Free shipping nothing better than that.

Box was damaged, and unit looked like it had been used. The filter was covered in fiber and beads.

Great System for a fraction of the cost
I shopped around for quite a while before buying a softening system. I checked with the major brands such as Culligan and was floored by the expense of purchasing through them. Culligan quoted me at over $4000 for just the softening system. They did have a cheaper version which still would’ve cost me over $2500. A buddy of mine put this system in and he swears by it. I did my research and purchased this model. I had a plumber come and install it and within a few days we had beautiful soft water throughout the entire house. With the installation and the purchase of the unit it only cost me about $1200 total. Aquasures customer service is outstanding and your unit should last up to 10 years. When I spoke to them they said for $300 they would send an entirely new base unit with the resin in it that will be easy for me to install myself. So for 20 years of soft water my total out-of-pocket will be $1500.

    Easy installation
I have limited space so installing the whole house filter and softener was a little tricky but I’m creative. Everything went in as planned. The instructions were easy to follow and understand. All parts were in the boxes as expected. I’m delighted that it went smoothly.

      Arrived used, wet, and heavy
I ordered from home depot in case I had to return it. I received a used product. It was delivered upside down in a torn box. It weighed about 200 pounds because it still has water inside. I hurt my back getting it in the basement, and I deadlift 405 for sets. I'm not happy. I expect some feedback from customer service.

Fantastic bang for your buck. Had it professionally installed and was told that this was a great selection based on our budget. Apparently aquasure has amazing customer service and makes a quality product. Would definitely recommend. Our water is so soft, it makes a huge difference.

        Weak- poor quality connections
This unit appears at first to be a good value but all the aquasure products use weak plastic connections that are prone to leaking, cracking and general failure. I have had this unit for 3.5 years and have had to deal with catastrophic leaks twice, and brine line failure once. If you value your time and your home’s dryness- buy a higher quality unit.

          READ WARRANTY REQUIREMENTS !
2 yrs after install, it started leaking profusely, right into the furnace. The brine line quick connect failed. I then learned that the supposed 5 Year warranty is ONLY if you register your product within 60 days, or you are out of luck. This information was mentioned within the "fine print" of the Instruction Manual and not clearly mentioned on the Home Depot website. If you are like me who did not actually do the install and hired a plumber, you would not know of that requirement.

The unit appears to function as expected. Water tested extremely high prior to install. No reads ZERO hardness. Directions weren’t simple. But useable.

The Aquasire 4800 works great. I like that it uses gallons used, instead of regeneration after a certain number of days, like my old softer. I needed to change the softner to 3/4 inch, I called Aquasure and they were very helpful and sent me the new adapter free of charge.

              Watch out if installing outdoor.
If used outside "without protection" will Void the Warranty. Aquasure, will not give you any guidance as to what constitutes protection.

              Leaks and not stable
Costed me lot of time in labor and parts than getting the leak fixed between the head and the input pipes. Had to eventually return it after trying to fix it for 2 days. Wouldn't recommend unless you are handy and know how to handle plumbing in a fix incase the unit fails.

                Great system, compact size
I wanted this because it is one of the most compact systems you can buy. It fits easily in the corner pocket in my garage. It is a high quality system, and I like how it tells gallons used right on main display. Easy to install, lots of options for placement.

works the entire tank is constructed of fiberglass, epoxy resins and PVC
The instructions tell you that you can easily bypass your tank and use city water whenever you want to water plant or something similar. the only problem is that my unit is 9 months old, it has been protected from rain and sun damage, but it does get as high as 98 in the garage during the summer. Well the inferior 90°twist to bypass have been effected by the heat and became brittle and just a quick routine bypass twist broke the knob right off. And guess be sure you register your water softener before 90 days pass because you might beable to get a replacement under warranty. i am very disappointed because i used 3/4 red cooper pipes and fittings to be sure that nothing would be an issue with my work.

Great unit but was it compromised by the Packaging ?
Recommended by my handyman as he has the same and much cheaper than going to a plumber. I called Aquasure to correctly select size and model. Quickly done with Post code and number of people in the home. I bought it through Home Depot online as its a very heavy unit and needs a cart / pickup to transport home ..or get it delivered. Here is the issue. The unit came in a cardboard box and is supposed to be transported vertically. No markings 'this way up' on the packaging and both ends of the box were burst open. The Packaging is clearly insufficient and so a 3/5. I wonder has it been trucked inverted ? The internals of the filter I understand are a coarse bed of gravel material and filled with resin coated sand. It's important to keep these materials stratified and NOT INVERTED. When we opened the box the unit was the correct way up ( a 1 in 2 chance). The PACKAGING lost Aquasure 2 stars on this review.

                    Self Installed System
Received my Harmony 40,000 grain system today and installed in about 2 1/2 hours. I had downloaded and read the install manual a few times over the past week. Had all my extra parts ready, salt, teflon tape, silicone grease and tools ready. Many people below that had problems like resin coming out at the faucet didn't install the head and plastic filter correctly. My system started up just like clockwork and only made a few inputs in the setting 1 ,2 and 3 only. The rest left as default for now. No leaks and did a quick flush and bam ready to roll. Picked this system for 3 people with moderate hard water of 82 ppm (Part Per Millionth) City water with no iron at all. My calculation came to 5 GPG and a total gallon of 7,775 between regeneration. Verified with Aquasure on the phone. We will watch the gallons get down to zero and see if the regen works properly.

Resin coming out a lot during first regeneration, I wish it’s not introduced to my house water system. I just bypassed water softener for now and will return tomorrow to the Home Depot.

I've had this system installed over 3 weeks now and have noticed a difference in our water being softer. This was a DIY project for me and was an easy install with descriptive directions. Only one flaw in directions: the white and black flex hose were swapped in directions. Being that the instructions stated to use the black hose as feed hose from salt holding tank. However, it is the opposite...black hose is the drain hose during regeneration process. Did not stump me long, and completed the install. Please consider this unit because it is well built and holds a 5 year manufacturer's warranty along with a great customer support group with prompt service. User-friendly interface control panel with a protective plastic facing to easily fold up and down when needing access to the panel. Lastly, this unit has quick connect fittings with keeper rings making it difficult for a hose to be accidentally pulled out of fitting.

Easy to install, though I did have a few issues for which the detailed instructions had absolutely no mention. 1. For those looking to install - there is a hole on the inlet side of the valve. The unit is supposed to come with a stopper/plug in said hole, with a clip holding said plug in. When I opened all the boxes, I found the clip laying in the bottom of the box, but had absolutely no idea what it was for. Looking at the instructions and online, I still could not find where it belonged. So, I held onto it. The end of the first part of the setup requires you to have the unit in Bypass mode and then turn on your water. This is where the fun began. I had the unit in bypass and turn my water on, and got slammed in the face with high pressured water. The plug flew out and water was everywhere. After a quick call to Aquasure (open M-F at 8:30 am pacific), they mentioned the clip was to hold the plug in. Problem solved - but I bet it was really funny (from the outside) to see me get drenched with water. 2. The unit is supposed to show when water is in use, as well as count down the gallons. This was not happening on mine, so the same customer service rep with Aquasure asked me about this second wire that was simply hanging around the head unit. Again, no mention of what it is in the instructions. He told me where to plug it in and, BAM, now we're metering water correctly. It would have been nice of Aquasure to include these important parts in their manual. Other than that, it was easy to set up, easy to install and seems to be working like a charm.

I purchased this water softener to replace my old WaterSoft 24000 grain water softener because of the price point and it was the same exact height size resulting in no need to change plumbing. Aquasure customer server is excellent! Since I have an old 3/4" copper pipe setup, before ordering, I called Acuasure and they gave me a special adapter for my old 3/4" copper pipe setup. If you have a newer home you probably don't need this adapter. They were very helpful in sending the adapter along with a longer drain hose. The reason I needed longer drain hose was that my drain is about 20 feet from the water softener. My son is a plumber and he just had to add couplings to connect the water softener since the difference between the old and new water softener was the water softener connections were male connections on the new and female on the old. Overall the water softener works great. It has two options now. It can either cycle at a fixed amount of days per week or it can run by water usage (metered). Since my old water softener had a mechanical clock I would always have to reset it after a power outage. The Aquasure, remembers settings after the outage! I also like the drain tubing better because its not soft like the old soft clear tubing on my old water softener which can kink. I am not sure about the brine connection tubing since I ended up using the tubing from my old unit since I never got one from Aquasure. They may have forgotten it but I never called them since I had one already. My only negative was that the holding container for salt is much smaller than my old WaterSoft unit. It only holds between 4 and 5 40lbs bags of salt where I could squeeze 7 bags in my old WaterSoft unit. My wife is very happy as she can take a shower again without using hard water so I'll give it 4 stars.

Very nice, easy to install, easy to program. One of the best warranty’s. The page whole house filter was included but not listed, $100 pleasant surprise. HD needs to update the description to include this.

Very poor quality - I would not recommend!
Ran into two quality issues in 2 months. First when installing - one of the water lines was leaking. Aquasure mailed me a replacement part which worked well. But after one week, the water suction in brine tank stopped working. Each time a case is created - they walk you through self-diagnosis to figure out which part has failed. The case manager can't send a technician so I am now stuck with this unit. Overall - very disappointed with the quality of the unit.

Unit was easy to assemble. Instructions in clear english which was a pleasant surprise. Working well so far. Sitting outside so bought a cover for it. Churning out soft water so far.

                            Works great
The water softener was super easy to install, I used two shark bites and had it hooked up within 30 mins. There was a step by step program that was easy to follow. It’s been two months with soft water and no issues. A lot quieter then my culligan water softener that I had.

Very satisfied with water softness. Unit was easy to install and program. The drain hose did leak initially at the meter head but I removed and reinstalled it, seems to be ok. The pre filter unit was an added bonus. Quality unit, I would buy it again. I had it shipped to the store for pickup, arrived undamaged

ARRIVED QUICKLY! A+ So far, so good! CUSTOMER SERVICE via phone number listed in registration and set up pamphlet is VERY HELPFUL, especially when it comes to setting up electronic time/date and settings. Seems to be working as promised in advertising. PS: POTASSIUM PELLETS CAN BE USED IN THIS SOFTENER FOR PEOPLE WITH SODIUM RESTRICTIONS. The ONLY PLACE we could find Potassium Pellets for a reasonable, but still high price is Culligan Water. These pellets will cost about $40.00 per bag vs $8-$10.00 per bag for salt.
