Applied product liberally to mound and to a long trail of ants proceeding from that mound. 24 hrs later, no change at all (except ants walking around Amdro granules). Applied Spectricide Fire Ant Mount Destroyer -- mound dead within 30 minutes. Bottle says "Guaranteed to work or your money back" but there is no method to redeem this guarantee. Hollow marketing ploy.

Does the job

It was very easy to use. The directions were clear. And it worked. I had a massive ant colony that had taken up residence in an old stump. After 4 days it was a ghost town. Same results with other anthills in my yard.

Like many people in Middle Tennessee, I went outside for Spring and found fire ants. So I got this product to help out. I went out, sprinkled, disturbed the nest, and waited a week. Most of the mounds showed no activity after the first attempt. A couple places took a second helping (and an even more generous spreading.) So it worked well enough that I would buy it again.

I applied it and a few days later, I still saw fire ants around the pile. I did not like that the granulates did not dissolve when watered and my puppy kept trying to eat them. I switched to a different brand that is powder and dissolved with water after it does what it was meant to do.

I've tried all different brands to kill fire ants in my yard and Amdro works the best for Texas. Fire ants will always come back and build more mounds but this one seems to kill the queen faster.

We have been using this formula for years with excellent results. It is easy to apply and works for long periods. Inexpensive lawn coverage.

Unfortunately the AMDROis all eaten by the ducks in our yard, so the product doesn’t even have a chance to work on the red ants. Waste of money.

Have not used this new formula very often so I am not sure if it is as effective as the former type. time will tell.

only workrd on 60& of ant beds. the other 40& seemed to have no interest in the stuff - it laid there for days withou being eaten/varried off,

This is the only product that we have found to work for Fire Ants. Yes, we have tried the others but majorly they failed!

Amdro is the only way to go to control fire ants. Some of the others do kill on contact, but don’t get the entire mound and queen. Amdro seems to kill them all and gives a much better control of fire ants. It does take a week or so for the ants to die. If you’re looking for a long term tool, this is it.

Amdro always works for me to control ants.

It does what it is advertised to do, great buy.

The andro is very good works real good I don’t get any bites anymore
