We used these rods when we redid our closets in 2013 and I love them. They are strong and hold a ton of clothes. They still look good six years later.

I found it to be very nice.

I used a chop saw to cut this down to size for my closets. I ordered 2 more to finish the closet.

I can't speak to lasting power because I've only had it up for a week but it's just as beautiful as I had hoped. This was the only size available so I just ordered this one and cut it down to get the 3 rods that I needed and I still have 1 left over if I choose to add another later.

Saw seemingly the exact same item, on the same page of the website, with a different price. I believe there's an error in the title of this one. This item is titled as "72 IN. ..."---but the item description says 96" (8 ft.). The 72 inch version (otherwise identical) is priced at $29.97, which makes more sense. Also, for some reason, these brass closet rod & socket items (by Lido) are listed separately from similar items from other brands, which do not come in brass. In fact, these do not even come up when you do a search for 'closet rods'----when I added "brass" to the search, these popped up. Strangely, in the store too, the Lido products were not placed with the others brands. Not smart: customers seeing those others, will assume that's what's available, and not look any further (as I did, originally) I've actually bought the 6-footers years ago, and they're fine, tho after a while, the brass finish did not look all that great under the stress of clothes hangers sliding back & forth on it. I don't subtract too much for that, because for the same reasons---the abundant hangers it supported---this negative doesn't show all that much.
