Q:What's the diameter and circumference of the rod? We want to use it as a pull up bar

A:  As noted on the listing, this rod is 1.31" or 1-5/16"OD. The wall thickness is 0.05" and while it states, "its a maximum hanging storage capacity up to 323lbs," this item has not been tested to be used as a pull up rod. Thank you.

            A:  The wall thickness is 0.08" which per the scale conversion is close to a 16 but we are unsure on the gauge.
