I purchased the seed as my landscaper was going to install it to fill in areas that needed it. He asked me why I bought that particular seed and did not think it was very good. The grass is growing where he put it so I guess it can't be all that bad.

The use of the product is easy enough, but not at all sure about the result. It's been a few weeks now and I have not seen new growth in area where I sprinkle the mix. We have had good rain, but may be that may be too much water for the seeds? For that I am not recommending this product

Grows a lot of weeds versus grass. I have tried this an another product line...both are not so good. Perhaps use the old fashioned method of seeding

Used the Bemuda grass 1 step to cover a 4 x 8 area and 30 X1 ft areas. Put down a few inches of top soil and raked smoothly. I bought two jugs. The first jug I sprinkled on the areas and raked in lightly. I then used the second jug cover the top of the soil without raking in. After six days of watering three times a day (keeping it moist as directed) I have almost total coverage one inch tall. This is in North Carolina in the middle of August. I have tried various other Bermuda grass products with very little success. Going to purchase another bottle tomorrow for another area.

I treated these seeds better than my own children and not one blade came up. I watered as directed and planted as directed. Nothing.

Followed directions closely and planted in June with good soil temps and low/high temps that Bermuda likes. Got marginal yield on about 15% of the sq ft.planted after 2 weeks, but that small amount died by week 4, even with being kept moist. It would have cost less money and about the same amount of time to have patched in sod.

This product was applied as instructed and to this day no grass has grown.

We had patches with no lawn on our curb as our house is on a corner lot. We sprinkled the seed in these spots and fortunatley with all this rain that we have had in Texas the seed did well. The patches are completely filled with healthy baby lawn that is a nice dark green color. I would use this product again!

Don't bother wasting your money. I can't believe HD actually still has this available. I weeded out all my dead grass, watered religiously as per the directions and nothing to show after two weeks. Most of the grass that grew appear to be leftover from previous soil. I am going back to scotts ezseed and try to get my money back on this.

Total waste of money and time. We bought two bags believing it would be a great product. Absolute waste Not at all impressed

Had high hopes for this. Needed to get some grass growing in some ruts left by a tow truck pulling a stuck dumptruck out of my neighbor's yard (let no good deed go unpunished!). Roughed up the soil, sprinkled the mix on to the bare spots and firmed it into the soil. This was during a period when we were getting a shower every day for a week, so a lack of moisture was not a problem. Despite ideal conditions, I would say less than 10% of the application area showed any germination. I suspect HD's choice of shelf location is less than ideal, out in garden area under the blaze of hot sun and subject to excess heat, cold, and rain. Did not check for expiration date, but thebag I bought must have been less than fresh. Cannot recommend this product at all.

I have yet to see any growth of grass. Followed the instructions. All I see is what looks like green little shreds of paper. Probably would consider Scotts.

This product didn't work for me. I followed the instructions but instead of grass, I got a hard white spots throughout my yard

This grass is guaranteed to grow in a shaded area. After three weeks of keeping moist, I have zero grass. How do I get my money back?

Lot of water and time wasted. Didn't work at all. I am 4 weeks in watering daily and Nada. The cold might have something to do with is, but we had a few nice days and see no improvement at all

I had put down some grass seed weeks earlier and it it finally started to take. I found some bare spots that I missed while putting down the original seed so I bought this bag to fill in. I don't think a single blade of grass has resulted from this bag

Product never did anything. Wasted 2 bags and not a single blade of growth.

used TWO bags of this grass seed and NONO of it grew as guaranteed

"Easy" is definitely not a good description on the label, particularly when your neighborhood is on water restrictions. Prepping the soil scratching it up here and there thru the whole yard took hours, spreading the seed was a no brainer, but then hand watering it 3 times a day for a month was a complete waste of time. Very few of the seeds germinated although the weather conditions and ground were still quite warm enough, perfect actually, for bermudagrass to sprout. Won't try this again.

Maybe on small patches were grass is needed but not on the big ones. Plus you need to use a lot for it to work.

This grass did not grow hardly at all and a lot of weeds came up. After much watering all I ended up with was a big water bill.

I followed the directions there was some growth of new grass but not what I expected. May need to give it more time to see if more will sprout.

I purchased 2 bags of this product. Placed it in a variety of locations - some more shaded than others, some on a slight incline, others in flatter areas. I watered daily for weeks & followed directions on package. I don't think even a SINGLE blade of grass has appeared & its been over a month. My neighbor also purchased a bag, but he will now be taking his back.

I bought this seed mix to fill in some bare spots in my yard. I loosened the soil and even added fresh soil before applying this mix. I watered daily and sometimes twice a day but got nothing. I live in South Texas and it was nice and warm when I decided to use this. One of my observations is that this mix contains only a small amount of seed. It is primarily mulch and fertilizer, so one bag doesn't really go very far. In the end, daily watering and some good rain filled in the bare spots not this mix.

Followed the instructions on the bag, not one seed germinated. Either Pennington products are of poor quality or Home Depot is selling old seed. Will not buy this product again!

If I didn't do something quickly to my bermuda grass in my backyard I was going to face re-sodding. I found this product at Home Depot and have my fingers crossed that all those bare spots will soon be filled with grass. The product is a snap to use and I am very optimistic it will work as it claims. I've always found Pennington products to be very good.

None of the grass seeds came up. Don't know if this was old stock or not but it was a waste of my money.
