Order came on time. VERY rough cut with lots of splinters and rough edges. There is no part on the whole of the pieces that is smooth like it shows in the picture.

The one stair had huge knots instead of solid wood, looked ugly , Very suprised anyone would ship that stringer .Considering people use stairs for safe movement , a second grade stringer should not have been shipped. Did not have Time to reorder . Not reccomending your supplier.

It took a couple of weeks to get them but once I got them i installed them quickly and easily

The stairs that were delivered to me were not cut to the proper dimensions as per code….The risers are supposed to be 7 to 71/2 inches but were cut at 61/2 to 63/4 inches….They were returned and we managed to cut our own ….Home Depot should be checking with whoever is manufacturing them.

One stair stringer had the end broken off.

Ordered two of the product online. When they arrived one was broken. The one that was not broken was in excellent condition. The reordered one arrived in excellent condition. Be careful to check them before you leave the store. The rating was reduced to reflect the shipping of an obviously defective product. These do not just break in transit. The same occurred with a prior special order of this product.

It was great. I dug out a footing and used bricks in the bottom for support. I also treated the wood with preservative to help it last longer. Your runner's worked great for my little project. I'd upload a picture if I could.

Stringer is as described -- seems high-quality. Ordering and pick-up was easy.

Both stringers split when simply screwed in. I have reordered them and will pre-drill my holes so this does not happen again. You certainly would think that the lumber for a stair stringer would be stronger and not require pre-drilling. Very disappointed.

The measurement from the ground to the TOP of the 1st stair was Not the same as the measurement from the TOP of the 2nd to the TOP; of the platform.

They worked great, the only thing I didn't like was that they are very steep, like climbing a ladder.

I ordered 3 of these. One was excellent and worthy of all 5 stars. However the other two had cracks in them which made them structurally unsound. Carefully check what you are getting. Be aware that these are green pressure treated lumber not brown.

The where to small.

Sturdy & straight. Purchased three of these for steps for deck. Had never attempted this before and I know if I had tried to make these stringers from a board it would have come out backwards at best. Saved me time and blood pressure.

Purchased this for my plants stairs and got lot of complements when I posted on fb

I bought two stringers to repair an old garage 2 step staircase. The stringers are solid and look great, as well. Both stringers measured exact which made the job easier.

These save so much time as opposed to cutting your own stringers. Of course there are certain instances when a pre-cut stringer cannot be used, but if applicable to your project i would recommend picking up these from the home depot. They are accurately cut & extremely well priced. My only complaint would be that occasionally you will find a couple on shelves that are a little warped or crooked but thats the nature of wood just be sure to pick a nice straight one

Light but sturdy and stable. Can be used for multi purpose.

Easy to use. Worked well. First time added steps anywhere. These were for my deck. I cut out a section and added stairs.

Will buy another pair. Quality was very good. Easy to install.
