the noise from the next unit at my condo is some what reduced. works good enough for the price. it is not easy to install by one person. need lots silicone culk aroung the material to secure the sound barrier.

I used this as an extra layer of sound insulation for a sound booth I build, and it does forms a great barrier between the resonating parts of the structure.

I put this up in my home theater room and laundry room. We moved from a very similar style home with metal studs and thin drywall. The sound that escaped both rooms was an annoyance! This product almost eliminated sound coming from the theater and totally knocked out the sound from the laundry room. The only thing that escapes is the loudest parts of a movie with huge bass like the T-Rex from Jurassic Park or other massive explosions from video games. We like our movies/games loud at our house and we don't want anyone outside the room to know about it or be bothered by it. My HOA is pretty overbearing.... I would confidently advise using this if you have any sound issues in home or office.

I used this in my 2001 Honda Accord Coupe as a soundproofing barrier over closed cell foam. It cuts easily with scissors and is easy to lay. This has reduced road noise significantly and I can listen to my stereo without having to turn up the volume too much. There is no odor either. With the free shipping Home Depot provides it is a great value versus other soundproofing products in the marketplace.

Although heavy, and does have a rubbery odor to it, it certainly does reduce some sound. so yes I would purchase this again for all my sound proofing projects. I would suggest 2 people to help apply this product. Thanks

It seems to have cut down on sound between ground and 1st floors. Doing a renovation on ground floor. Installed heavy rubber like db3 onto sheet rock first then installed sheet rock as usual. So process was very easy.

Easy to cut with strong scissors. Better priced, if including shipping charges, than most mass-loading-vinyl products. I used it in the car for deadening road noise. Worked great.

Very effective product in reducing noise transmissions. Used it on plumbing walls and around air duct soffits. Its blanket-like composition made it relatively simple to use, although I found its 4'x8' dimension was a bit rough, probably due to its plyability. Also, some of the material seemed thinner than others. I'm surprised it's not popular enough to warrant being available in HD stores.

Put this on the wall between my kitchen and bedroom. The difference is very noticeable. Used to be able to hear a pin drop. Now you can barely hear a cabinet door slammed.

We have been using db3 instead of the gypsum sound control products on the market for the past 6 months. This product installs easily between the studs and drywall. We have found that it is less expensive than other products and works extremely well. Our homeowners have been very pleased with the way we have eliminated the sound transmission form home theaters and laundry rooms..
