Replacing screen doors on an older home I found it difficult to find door that were anything close to the quality of the original doors. This door is far superior to others available today.

I received two screen doors without the six hindges. So I paid $300 for two unhindged screen doors which normally sell for $120. .

You would think that a $170 unfinished screen door would be ready to be finished and made from the same wood throughout. Well don't get this door if you have expectations of getting that type of door. The bottom cross section of the door was made of several different porosity woods and really didn't stain well. my door looked nothing like the picture that represents it on the website. I did a light sanding and stained it. Then I spent over an hour sanding it with a power sander to remove all of the imperfections in the wood, then I re-stained it as dark as I could. The craftsmanship was marginal at best. I really wanted to return it but I had already stained it so I put a couple of days work into it to make it presentable. Won't be buying this type of product on line again. One of my worst buying decisions of my life.

Very poor quality
One piece of the frame was cracked upon arrival, and appeared to have been made that way. The spline groove was not straight -- looked like someone freehanded the groove with a router. The joints were poorly made -- the whole door didn't look like it would last a year. Returned it immediately upon opening the package. No problems with Home Depot return desk.

I like the removable screen in it's own frame.
The door is a replacement for a previous door that was warped. Was able to install it easily and like the fact that the screen comes in it's own frame so is easy to remove for painting, replacement, etc. There were some gaps in the joints that caused me to lower the quality rating, and the price seems higher than I would expect.

very low quality, paint grade at best
Do not expect a nice door. Door is very low quality, with 16 "finger joints" on the frame, sap holes, ruff carpentry, punched through screw holes, and way too expensive. I can get a piece of junk at any low quality local local store.

The door I received had minor problems
Screen had a small rip in it where it was attached by the bead. Door had a couple of indentations where it looked like it had been strapped together with other doors. I was able to fill these and sand them prior to painting the door but shouldn't have this problem with a almost $200 door.

very poor quality
I received 2 screen doors for a customer that were of the qaulity of $20.00 doors. Wood styles had rip marks from routering. Rails had places were the sap was coming out of the knots. Not stainable grade and not even paintable!!!!!!!!!The Pro desk, Brian, reordered from local builder home depot deals with and they were less expensive and top notch qaulity!!!! Thanks to Brian at the pro desk!!!!!!
