For the average DIY'er, additional info is needed for landing leads inside the box (i.e., Red wire attached to X , Black wire to Y, White wire to W, Ground wire to G or Gold screw). Offer (code approved) types of connection options from the Inlet Box to supporting electrical box.

The power inlet was easy to assemble. I used # 10 wire to connect up to a double pull 30 amp breaker. It's better to use thinner wire such as #12 to make it easier to make all the connections. This box can adequately hold a connecting 30 amp 10/4 power cord in place. A better method would be to use a twist lock adapter to ensure the power cord stays well connected to inlet box.

Bought this to complete my home generator setup. Mounted easily to outside wall to run cable to breaker panel in basement. Quality construction. A little pricey but it's hard to fine a NEMA male twist-lock plug and box for DIY'rs. Best value was Home Depot. Worth the price to do the job the right way. Purchased online from Home Depot, fast delivery. Very satisfied with product and service.

Nice box, I wish they made one with a three prongs connector, like the "RVGUARD 125V 30 Amp RV Power Inlet White Twist Locking" to avoid modifying the generator cord or avoid using an adapter cable between.

Great box and solid construction. Generator connector does not work with matching generator cable. Had to shave down in connector cover to get it to fit. Could be a lot better!

This control box very easy too assemble. Works very well when I’m plugging the other end into this.

Box construction and finish are commercial grade. The plug-in twist lock receptacle is also commercial grade. I used number 10 solid wire which required a bit more “planning”to make connections, I would have liked another 1/2 inch of depth in box to make easier. Still rate 5 stars
