If I had this before the tank failure, there wouldn't have been that pesky basement pond for that 2 weeks it took for the warranty.

Heavy-duty material. Fit my heater perfectly.

I had to replace my water heater which did not have a drain pan. Decided to put one in on the replacement. Home Depot was the only store that had a large 24" pan. Glad I spent the extra couple of bucks to add one. Home Depot is my store of choice for the best quality and fair price.

Pretty flimsee but serves its purpose. Just wish it were a bit more ridged

The instructions show to install the gasket on the bulkhead fitting on the NUT side. This is wrong! The gasket on a bulkhead fitting always goes on the FLANGE side! If it's installed on the nut side as instructed, water will leak between the threads and out of the fitting.

Its aluminum so be careful installing very easy to bend.

New water heater front guard panel would not fit with my existing 20" pan. With 22" new drain pan, the front panel went on with ease.

Easy to install and fits perfectly in this small utility closet. It has lower side walls than some others I looked at which made it much easier to lift the water heater into place.

I was successful in placing the Pan under the new empty water heater (40 gal} by using pulleys to lift it a few inches.

If you periodically flush your water heater, as I do, the depth of the pan makes it difficult to connect a hose to the valve. I set the heater on some scrap pieces of Lifeproof flooring, which raised it enough to solve the problem.

Being that this is made of aluminum I know and have a lot of confidence it will not leak or corrode over time. I do recommend this to anyone who is looking for a replacement pan this will fit the bill as a one-time replacement. Being that the pain is a little larger than the water heater itself it allowed for the water drain stem to not interfere with the pan which is still easy to drain and flush out if still needed also the pan drill hole can be cut to size you can bend this pain as well if you need to manipulate it.

I installed the product a few days ago and am happy with the outcome. Given the kind of material used and how thin it is, one has to be careful placing it under a water heater and connecting the PVC outlet (fitting included with product) not to bend or dent the pan or its rim. I am glad to say that the installation could not go any better, and the product is functional and looks good.

HEY, GLAD I WENT TO THE HOME DEPOT AND BOUGHT THIS PAN AS THE STUPID INSTALLER NEVER BROUGHT ONE AND UNDER A 50 GALLON TANK YOU BETTER HAVE ONE OR REGRET IT. NICE DRAIN TOO!

this item fit well with the water heater

The pane is 24" in diameter. Fits well for my 19.5 diameter bottom hot water tank. Yet, it is overly priced. A small, very thin aluminum pan for almost 25 bucks? I was expecting a lower gauge (sturdier) pan. I am returning it. Over the period of time, I have found that the home depot Everbilt brand is over priced. This pan strengthens my finding. I could not say I am a fan of the home depot Everbilt brand.
