Not needing full sized lumber these were the lengths I was requiring for my project. This allowed minimum waste and a a finished project. These were found to be transported using a car and not requiring a truck.

I actually use the 2x4 for my 2 cats who like to use them as cat scratchers. It's a cat thing. These 2x4's are nice and strong for the kitties to stretch out and sharpen their nails.

I needed a short piece of 2x4 , clear & dry for a little scroll saw project. Construction grade studs or 2x4s would have worked and I could have found one with a clear no knot section that small but I was unable to find one that was dry . I was able to sort through the short one for this little project .
