The wired gate sensor would not work. I even tried trouble shooting. Returned the item and purchased the wireless sensor. That worked perfect but you cannot put it more than 35 feet from the control box.

I bought this mighty mule gate opener sensor to replace one that I had installed new over 4 years...
I bought this mighty mule gate opener sensor to replace one that I had installed new over 4 years ago. That sensor worked perfectly and I feel this one will do the same. I believe the first unit failed due to electrical storms.

this is my 3rd mighty mule exit wand.the first was...
this is my 3rd mighty mule exit wand.the first was at a former residence and had no problems.the second was here at my present residence.the dogs chewed the wire and i spliced it.after the wire was spliced it nerer worked right.it even opened itseld a few times (and the dogs got out).decided it was better to spring for a new one rather than chase 3 dogs all over the neighborhood.still have not installed it - getting some pvc to shield it this time - live and learn.if wire was easier to splice would be 5 stars.
