A:  it has a 12 foot sensor range so unless your driveway is more than 30 feet wide it is not necessary

A:  I tried this and the answer is a definite NO. They signals cancel each other out and the gate ends up opening and closing endlessly. I tried wiring them into the same input port, and wiring them into different input ports, but the result was always the same. The gates just open and close. Sometimes right away, and sometimes after a 15 minute lag when you think maybe it worked itself out, but always back to the same problem. I ended up with a wireless keypad on one side and I just programmed it with every simple combo I could think of to keep it simple for deliveries.

A:  you can splice the wires if you use waterproof connectors, I ran he above ground wires in pvc to keep the animals from chewing on it,
