Customer Reviews for Primefit 1/4 in. Brass Winged Tank Drain Cock

I removed my lower lawn pump drain plug, wrapped pipe thread tape around the new petcock threads, then installed the petcock in the lower drain hole.The petcock had only been in place for less than a week when the temperature dipped to 32 deg this morning so I decided to drain the pump. Turned off the breaker to the pump, opened the hose faucet above the pump, then opened the petcock. The water drained out slowly but after a couple of minutes it drained completely.

My wingnut spins and does not turn the inner threaded pipe. Had to drill a sideways hole and insert a nail through to have leverage to open and close. Now the nail is an obstruction so takes longer to drain. Not sure if the wing nut has a press fit or is supposed to be welded, but it is poor design and quality control.

The tank drain cock worked perfectly well and was easy to install. Good product.

Worked like a charm. Replaced the old leaky one, quick and easy.

Wing nut fell of first day I had it.

I have to say one thing this brass wing cock work out perfect. It fit perfect in air tank. After been installed the air compressor work like it was a new one. I highly recommend it.

Does NOT fit most air tank drain valves. Bought this product as a drain valve for an air compressor. However, due to the way it opens (full diameter plug on bottom) it did not work for my air tank. May have been my fault for not recognizing the way this product would not fit with my tank drain. Product shown was delivered on time without defect.

This valve was of top quality, at least equivalent to others on the market. Delivery was sooner than expected, and went trouble free, eventhough I did not have all the paperwork.
