Slightly pricy and the glue strip does not hold long so you need to use thermal tape to seal but that is to be expected.

My furnace pipes are combination of 2 inch 2 1/2 inch 1 1/4 and 1 inch and it save me a lot of work wrapping them with the single wrap. You’re probably wanna wear some thin Rubber gloves, or something like that, because you need to be able to handle it without getting the fiberglass in your hand and also glasses, so you don’t get it in your eyes and you might also wanna take a breathable mask as well. But these were well. You still need to seal it with duck tape or other means , The seal strip at the split does not hold all that well. But it does get the job done.

Before on-line purchase, I looked up the proper size to buy for my pipes on an insulation website. This 3/4" pipe insulation has an ID of 1-1/8" and an OD of 2". Note the insulation "size" is not the same as the pipe outer diameter. It refers to the pipe size designation for it's type. This closely fits a 3/4" cast iron pipe for hot water baseboard heat measuring 3" OD circumference, or a about an inch in diameter. I cut a short piece off with a serrated knife to fit the length and found the extra piece snuggly fits a 1" copper pipe that is 1-1/8" diameter outside. The cast iron pipe and copper pipe have different wall thicknesses. Hopefully this helps solve my problem of a wax toilet seal melting then leaking because the hot water heat pipe is very close to the metal toilet sewer outlet flange.

Why can't Home Depot list actual product dimensions? I had to order 2 different sizes because I'm not using whatever pipe these were designed to fit. The product itself is fine and seems to do the job.

Perfect for NYC apartment dwellers with bathroom steam pipe that overheat the whole unit. This should help cut the output.

It was very easy ti ensamble

I purchased the last 2 pieces available in this size. The reinforced paper exterior was mostly loose and separated from the fiberglass interior, apparently due to sitting on the shelf for so long. I will need to apply my own adhesive to the paper when I install it, along with added zip-ties.

First, of all with this insulation, the tape doesn't hold together since I purchased this less than a year ago. Second, the quality of it is poor, and it falters very easily after around 8 months ago since I installed it in. Lastly, it's way overpriced. I purchased the insulation from somewhere else and has better grade materials that remain together, and the tape is very sticky to the paper. Plus, a bonus, I got it for way less than Home Depot. I am very dissatisfied with the product.

Covered my water pipes in my unheated attic with ruber foam and them added this product. No frozen pipes since.
