A:  This style shade does not come in custom cut sizes.

A:  I have not tried to cut them. We have them hanging on inside of screened porch. You can see light from outside but the room remains very private.

A:  I didn't cut mine, so I can't say for sure, but would imagine that they would be easy to trim the width of them if needed. I don't think you can trim the length. From the outside, yes, you can see through them, into the house.

A:  No fabric behind the shade. However, the weave is very tight and it really knocks out the sun because they are a dark color. We have these in our sunroom that has 9- 6' windows and it has really made a big difference and has helped alot. A great investment for our sunroom.

A:  There is nothing about this shade that makes it insulating, except for the fact that it lays against your window. No backing fabric. They look very nice once installed.

A:  These are craftsman sun porch windows measuring 30 x 60. Extra length gives it a more finished look at top and bottom.

A:  Good question, we have shades with a 48" and 64" drop sizes in natural roman shade style. Roll-ups can be rolled up to any drop you prefer. You can find these shades on Homedepot.com.

A:  We suggest vinyl roller shades from Home Depot.

A:  With a little search on YouTube I found these blinds very easy to trim. I used masking tape to hold the bamboo together and then rolled up the blind and super-glued them to the right length. It worked very well and they have stayed in place for over a year. Of course- they are not intended to be trimmed so once you do it you cannot return them.

A:  We do not recommend alterations. It will void the manufacturers warranty.

May we suggest you purchase the 60” wide shade and then outside mount it onto the window frame?
