Answer This Question
A: No, I don't think this particular shade can be cut to fit. You have to order the size you need.

A: This shade is no longer available. An alternative we suggest is the Home Decorators Collection bamboo shades available at Home Depot.

A: No because the mount from which the blind hangs cannot be cut. I am very happy with these blinds. I love that they are cordless. Many more expensive custom brands of bamboo shades have cords! If the correct size is not available for an inside mount I suggest considering an outside mount option since they are such a good value.

Q:How thick is each slat

Answer This Question
A: This shade does render privacy during the day but not at night. If it is dark outside and your light is on in the house you can see right through.
The slats are very thin and do not hold up well on the patio where they are being used. Sun and wind are murder on slats and thread that hold slats together.
This is our third shade in two years so it lasts about six months with this type of use, but for only $23 we grin and bear it. Hope that helps

A: FROM THE EXTERIOR, LOOKING INTO UR HOME, IN DAYLIGHT, VISIBILITY IS VERY OBSCURED UNLESS U HV BRIGHT INTERIOR LIGHTS ON. WHILE IN UR HOME, DURING THE DAY, U HV MINIMAL VISIBILITY OF THE OUTSIDE. THE SLATS R 1/4" WIDE, WOVEN TIGHTLY APPROX EVERY 6" ACROSS THE WIDTH OF THE SHADE. THERE IS A LINER AVAILABLE THAT ATTACHES TO THE REAR SIDE OF THE SHADE FOR COMPLETE PRIVACY. I WOULD NOT HV BRIGHT LIGHTS ON IN THE HOUSE IN THE EVENING, VISIBILITY FROM THE OUTSIDE LOOKING IN WLD BE MORE PROMINENT.

A: It's the typical privacy you would get from a thick screen. If you have light coming from the outside, nobody will see you. But if the light is inside with you, you will be visible to people on the outside. It does not block completely but it lets light come through.
