Q:operation started at about 50psi then jump to 100psi without any adjustment on my part ' then the adjusting screw would not inccease or decrese pressure reading

A:  The seal of the diaphragm in the large bell housing is probably impaired in some way. Check inside. Clean it. It needs to be smooth and flexible and the seat needs to be smooth too. Debris and/or hard water deposits could be your problem. Clean the screen in the first access hole also, while you're at it.

    A:  this is rated from 75 psi to 125 psi, where are you getting 50 psi? read the specs. Wilkins makes low pressure that is 25-75 psi, and high pressure 75 psi to 125 psi.

      A:  Two of the images show the specifications tag on the valve as " 25 to 75". 100 PSI may cause leaks in the home's internal plumbing.

      A:  Yes, the 600XL is the lead free version. 1-600XL is the same as the 1-600.
