A: Hi Anil,
As long as the unit is 25ft or more from the heater you should not notice warm water at the RO unit. There will be a higher concentration of dissolved minerals in the water going back to the heater but with the typical 40-50 gallon water heater the dilution when in the tank should not be noticeable.
Thank you

A: Pat, thanks for reaching out! The unit comes with 4 ft of tubing between the unit and the tank and 4 ft of tubing between the unit and the faucet if you add more tubing you will reduce flow going to the faucet and risk the unit not being able to regulate pressure and shut down properly.

Q:Says "Does not work with tankless water heaters." Does that include having a regular gas water heater and then a point of use temperature booster on the sink's hot water line?

A: The limitation with this system is .5 gallons per minute into the 3 gallon storage tank.
You would not want this system to feed any hot water supply basically, unless you added a much larger storage tank.

A: Hi,
Correct, this includes point of use temperature boosters, we would not recommend using this product with them.

A: Hi mzp,
Yes, the long answer is below as well; but as you can see, the 3rd stage filters arsenic.

FOUR STAGE WATER FILTRATION: The ZeroWaste (R) RO System uses 4 Stages of Filtration; a 5 Micron Sediment (104017) traps particles like dirt, silt and rust; a 5 Micron Carbon (101009) reduces Chlorine, and chemicals that cause bad taste and odor; 24 GPD Membrane (560014) removes TDS, and contaminants such as Arsenic, Copper, Lead and Cysts; a Granular Activated Carbon InLine (560010) to remove any remaining chlorine or other chemicals that cause bad taste or odor before being dispensed

Q:Does this system remove Salt? If so how much?

A: An RO removes 99.?% of anything in the water.
Including fluoride, so much so, you have to use a mouthwash with fluoride to replace what is taken out of the water.
Does it remove salt like from salt water in the ocean? I dunno, seems like a lot to ask.
Does it remove the small amount of salt a water softener may add, without knowing for sure just cuz I'm a regular homeowner, I would say Most likely all of it. I have a water softener, I never taste anything but clean pure water.
And again, An RO removes 99.?% of anything in the water. So it would just have to, I bet.

A: RO is great at removing salt. In high end systems, they exchange salt ions for the chlorine, in the water. The chlorine is rinsed down the drain at the softner refresh. The salt is filtered out at the Reverse Osmosis fiter.

A: Yes, salt is grouped in with the TDS reduction at 96.4%
