Zep Clear Shell may be used as a cleaner to remove odor-causing bacteria, mold, mildew, and other organic matter from surfaces prior to subsequent treatment to inhibit bacterial and fungal mold growth on those surfaces or materials. Thoroughly clean the material to be treated by spraying this product and letting it sit for 1-2 minutes. Wipe or scrub clean. Note: Always test for staining in an inconspicuous area. A:  Hi, Stevie! Yes. When used as a cleaner. To use the product as a cleaner, thoroughly spray the surface and allow the treatment to sit 1-2 minutes. Wipe or scrub with a brush or disposal cloth. To protect the surface from regrowth, respray the surface until it is thoroughly wet and allow to dry. A:  For best results, thoroughly clean area to remove soil and discoloration. Allow the surface to thoroughly dry before application of the Zep Clear Shell. For substrates that are prone to beading and significant run-off, such as vinyl, sealed and/or painted surfaces, the use of a sealant such as BacCote should be applied in combination with the Clear Shell will improve coverage, reduce runoff and provide a sealed surface.
