Questions and Answers for Whitmor Black Plastic Bed Risers(Set of 4)

A:  If you drill a hole the size of the legs, they will go down to the floor. The risers are not solid. In fact the top is only a fraction of an inch thick. If you drill holes in them smaller than the legs, they may not be as strong. This question gets into an area I have no expertise in, so I can't say for sure, but it seems to me the strength will be compromised. I don't understand why you would want to drill those holes in the first place.

A:  I would not try it. Don't think it will keep its effectiveness.

A:  Seems unlikely, and I cannot imagine why you would. The idea of this item is to raise the height of your bed about 7-8", so drilling a hole would defeat the purpose, I'd think.

A:  If I understand your numbers correctly, I don't think it will work. You're saying the end of the leg is 5 1/2" x 3 it won't fit in that cup. That cup that holds the leg is only 2 1/4 x 2 1/4.

A:  I'm a bit unclear about your legs, as you describe them. If they are 3" across, as in the case of a wood block-style of leg, they will not fit in the recess in the top of the riser - about 2 3/4" across. I would not recommend them - unless you trimmed your bed legs so they sat in the recess. The height of the risers is just about right for you at 5 1/2 inches. I hope this is helpful.

A:  I've seen these in a few sizes. If you need something larger, it may be better to make your own from 2X4 wood pieces. You Tube and Pinterest show you how to design your own for pennies on the dollar.

A:  The bed risers that I purchased are about 5 inches in height. I actually use them under my couch legs and they work wonderfully.

A:  If you mean the tip of your "table legs" are 1 -1/4", Yes it will fit. I think these come in smaller sizes to better fit your table legs.

A:  I didn't like these and donated them. I found they weren't deep enough and the wheels on the bed frame slipped right off when I went to sit on the bed and I almost got hurt badly. I'm still looking for risers that have a deeper opening.

A:  Hi! Yes, you can! My TV stand holds a 55" So I think it will hold a person on a chair.. Not over 175 pounds.

A:  You can use these on any piece of furniture that has legs no more than 1 3/4 inches that will fit in the top. Mine are under my bed and having it raised makes getting in and out easier. If your chair doesn't have feet that will fit in the risers, it is subject to sliding off. However, you might be able to attach some Magic Sliders to the chair. Those come in several sizes and the larger ones have adhesive for attaching, but if I did that I would feel better putting a wood screw in also.

A:  If the bottom of each leg has a carpet slider button that protrudes a small amount, it should work. And if the legs do not have them, they are available at any hardware store for a "do it yourself" installation.

A:  No they only measure about two and three quarter inch in the inside. Plus for a mission style sofa they would not look very nice under it. I used mine under a bed where they're hidden.

A:  The recess in the top of the risers is about 2 5/8" square. It sounds as though your 3" legs will only fit if you were to trim them down a bit. As they are, doesn't look like they'll work for you. GL

A:  I assume you have found an answer to your question, but I'll chime in with my measurement: The recess into which the leg or wheen sits at the top of the riser is about 2 5/8" square.
