A: I use GAIN HE liquid. I must admit at first I used GAIN powder since I had half a box left, it worked fine but I had to watch that under the dispenser did not get clogged. You really do need to use HE liquid in the dispenser but if you wanted to sprinkle some extra powder in the basin I don't see what harm that could do.

A: Any detergent with the "HE" logo will work. If you are happy with your current detergent, check the package for the "HE" logo

A: I normally use Gain powder detergent and it works fine. There's a compartment you put the detergent in and it is washed into the drum with water, so any would work, whether powder or liquid.
I think they recommend a low suds detergent but most of the major brands are low suds.

Q:Why are the detergent and fabric softener dispensers full of water after every single load? I have to keep removing dispenser to empty it.

A: Mine are never full of water, try using the ALL mighty pacs for detergent ? Throw them in the washer don't use the dispenser
