A: Hello Stainless! We are terribly sorry to hear of your concern. We would recommend the use of affresh® Dishwasher Cleaner. This will help with the odor. For the issue with the drying please make sure that you are using a Rinse Aid as well as the unit is getting hot water. If you have any further questions or concerns would recommend contacting Whirlpool® at 1-800-253-1301. We are available weekdays, between 8 am to 8 pm EST. They will be better able to assist you.
A: Step 1 Press the "Off" button on the Whirlpool dishwasher. Nothing will appear to have happened since the lights on the control board will not be illuminated. Step 2 Switch dishwasher off with switch or circuit breaker. Last resort: unplug power cord from the AC outlet. This usually involves removing the two screws from the panel beneath the dishwasher with a Phillips screwdriver, removing the panel and reaching in to pull the plug. Step 3 Let 10 to 15 minutes pass. Restore power. Close the panel and reattach the screws. Step 4 Select "High" or "Pots & Pans" from the control panel board. The actual setting will depend upon the make but is the highest setting you can choose for the washing cycle. Select one of the "Heat" cycles for drying the contents of the dishwasher. Step 5 Let a minute pass. Repeat the procedure with selecting the two cycles. This resets the control panel board so that you will again be able to use the dishwasher.
A: I would highly recommend not buying this or any other Whirlpool WDT models. We had a broken glide, broken shelf adjuster and surface rust in less than 8 months of use. Whirlpool did not want to warranty it, as they dont cover surface rust. Home Depot definitely was not of help...but didnt expect it as its a 30 day warranty.
A: Far right button is cancel button. Press and hold. Try unplugging it for 30 seconds if this doesn’t work.

A: The same thing has happened to us! We do not know what to do either
A: 1 hour, but it does not dry the dishes. You have to open the door, pull the racks out and allow them to dry. We just take out the plastic items and hit them on the sink a couple of time (very uncouth, I know) and put them back on the rack. We use crystal and china regularly and they don't need that to dry clear. The drawback on crystal glasses are water deposits in the top of the stems over time, which occur naturally if you don't hand wash them. Terrible dishwasher, but that is the most efficient setting.
A: Technically it's the 1 hour wash. The only problem is: if you have to pre-rinse/pre-wash things or run items that aren't quite clean again, is it really saving money? The sensor wash stops when food particles are tiny enough, so it's actually watching dishes to prevent the scenarios above. It's recommended to use this as your usual wash. If you have to have some items fast, use the 1 hour setting. It's very energy efficient.
A: Hi Tamikiwa, thank you for your inquiry. The shortest cycle is the normal cycle with no add on cycles. It will run approximately 60 minutes.
A: I would say that I believe the energy "efficiency" rating, likely to be a lofty goal designed to enhance purchase appeal rather than a practical everyday "at home" usable standard. It is difficult to achieve an EE rating when operated by "domestic engineers" in a home, rather than energy efficiency techs in a testing lab. My opinion is they came to those EE numbers through a sort of hocus pocus of shutting down the wash cycle and letting the dishes sit in a warm wet environment for extended periods of time. Hence, softening the food particles. It's like a start....wet...restart.... shut down....restart.....shut down... in other words using the very efficient and inexpensive method of "let em soak" for 3 or maybe even 7 hours (depending on how much energy you want to "save"). Yes it can saves lots of energy but at the cost of clean and heat dried sanitized dishes.. One other thing after a year of experimenting and making certain I am following manual procedures and operating recommendations, I still have not taken a single dry item out of the WORST DISH WASHER EVER!!!

A: You’ll have to ask your local Home Depot. This is a consumer to consumer question blog.
A: 51 dB
A: butlercj, Model WDT720PADM has a decibel rating of 51 dBA. Thank you for your interest in our Whirlpool Products!
A: I do not know it's dB rating, but it is VERY quiet
A: You'll have to call your local store to make sure or if you have your correct store as default, look just below item picture and see if it's "On display" at your store.
A: You’d have to contact your local cal Home Depot to answer that.
A: I first looked at it in store, it looked good but I bought it online because of delivery scheduling, etc. Big mistake buying the pretty shinny stainless steel dishwasher on appearance alone. It neither cleans nor dries the dishes..or anything! It doesn't not do it quietly either. Turns out to be the WORST DISHWASHER EVER! The good part it is probably wont last that long either. Not all bad though, it's a good place to store extra stuff if you want to clear up counter space.
