A:  Yes, this has an auto defrost cycle.

A:  "Auto Defrost" is just another name for "Frost Free". It's the same thing. This has been pretty standard on freezers for a few decades now. There's a heater element beneath the floor of the freezer which comes on by means of a timer every 12 hours or so, which melts any frost which has accumulated on the freezers condenser coils. This is why it's referred to as "auto-defrost", and how it keeps your freezer "frost free".

A:  I have not had any problems with it frosting up. If you get water on something it will freeze to the glass shelf. I would prefer wire shelves because of that.

A:  It took about 4 hrs. I waited until the shelves in the door were cold as well. Have had the fridge since 10-18-19 and no problems as yet.a

A:  Buckycop, Wait 24 hours for your refrigerator to cool completely before adding food. If you add food before the refrigerator has cooled completely, your food may spoil. A:  I was told it takes about 4 hours to get to the appropriate temperature.

A:  The manual recommends running the fridge for 24 hours before storing any food in it to make sure the proper temperature is reached.
