                A:  That's your choice, with just the flick of a switch to either bypass the timer or use the timer. The outlets are always live if you are bypassing the timer, unless you unplug the unit.

                A:  Yes, as long as you have a good, heavy duty outside extension cord and don't go over the allowed wattage for that extension cord.

                  A:  Open the cover of the timer and there will be six ( 6 ) 3 prong outlets to plug your light sets into.
