A:  The exterior and interior sides of this lock look almost identical, however with two differences. On the interior side, you will have a push button (NOT turn button) locking mechanism in the rosette. You will push this to lock the door and it will unlock automatically when you turn the knob. On the exterior side, you will have a small opening opposite the push button that will allow you to unlock the lock with a privacy key included.

A:  the other side is exactly the same as the picture. This door knob installs just like any other standard door knob. The only problem I had was the older door I have in my house needed the hole in the door where the latch goes into the door, needed filed out 1/16 of an inch because it was too tight to let the latch close. I also put two of these on two brand new doors and they installed flawlessly.
