A: There are 2 sizes of plug very close in size . Make sure you have the right one. 3/8 and 5/16 if I remember correctly. Had similar problem and it was that.

A: If it does not screw in further then it might be that it is not the right size for your tub. To make sure it screws in as far down as you need you may need to take the top off the actual screw and screw it in first.

A: I use a hair catcher made by OXO found at Target stores or on line. They make different shapes and heights with suction feet to match your type of drain. Just remember to put it down before you begin to wash your hair!

by|Oct 21, 2019
A: To catch hair and other foreign debris from entering the drain, you need to purchase a Watco Universal NuFit stopper. The 48750-PP-CP-G-47 would be a perfect solution! Use the reversible pin adapter for simple removal when needed.

Answer This Question
A: If the Watco Foot Actuated stopper is completely apart, here are the steps to re-assemble and place back into the bathtub drain that has the 3/8 in. cross threads. First take the black seal and place flat side down over the cylinder that has the flat head looking brass screw. NEXT, take the stopper top and thread clockwise onto the threads that are on the white plastic body. THEN, take the completed stopper and place into drain by threading clockwise into the drain that has cross bars with 3/8 in. threads.

Q:Unable to unscrew the brass, flat head screw inside the top cover. It is way too tight and the size of flat head screw driver is much smaller than the grove in the head. Tried to add some WD-40 to lose up but still no luck. Do we have some specific kind of wide flat head screw driver to open it?

Answer This Question
A: Unscrew it to remove
by|May 4, 2023
A: FYI - The bathtub overflow is actually meant to access the drain to snake any clogging issues. To remove the Foot Actuated stopper, hold the top of the stopper and turn counter clockwise. Remove the top. Now you will need to take a flat head screwdriver and loosen the brass screw. The stopper will come out of the drain now. Reverse steps when replacing stopping back into the deain.
