    A:  Depending on the thickness of your wall baseboards, the towel bars will be about 4" from the wall.

      Q:Regarding your towel warmer, I see where the cord and plug are, does the base of the warmer get warm also or is it just the rack portion of the warmer where the towels hang ?

                    A:  It is free standing and the stand is large enough to make the unit quite stable. I could stand on tile or rug as the stand itself does not get warm.
