Answer This Question
A: The HT4500 can be used to soften varnish to make it easier to remove. Just like with any use of a heat gun be aware of the material underneath what is wanting to be removed. Keeping the heat directed on a specific point can cause damage. Please call our technical support staff at 1(800)328-8251 if you have any other questions or needs.

Q:Can this be used to shape acrylic?

Answer This Question
A: Yes it can. Keep in mind that this tool is not rated for commercial applications. It is meant for small, around the house projects. Many variables affect heating applications, such as the material being heated, ambient temperature, the distance from the gun to the substrate and the heating technique. For this reason, Wagner has provided temperature guidelines for certain applications. Always start the heat gun at the lowest temperature in the range then raise the temperature until the optimum temperature is achieved. Always keep the heat gun in motion and at least 2” from the substrate when applying heat.
