Questions and Answers for WATERWORKS FlexRite 5/8 in. x 100 ft. Heavy Duty Hose

A:  No, this thing will kink,

A:  My hose stays on a real so never kinks. If the hose is just rolled up on the ground it might BUT the design should prevent it form kinking easily

A:  The FlexRITEs that I have tried (50, 75, 100ft.) have not shown a tendency to kink so far. Hoses that kink usually have a thin wall that is easy to bend. The FlexRITE are about 3x thicker than most cheaper hoses.

A:  No I can kink any hose that is flexible, hard copper pipe works great for that, but some hoses are kink resistant but none are kink free

A:  This is the kinkiest hose I have ever had the displeasure of owning or using. It's the worst. I cannot do anything without kinking it. If it's attached to a sprinkler of soaker hose, it will not kink unless I move it at all. Then it's guaranteed to kink.

A:  I usually buy almost ALL of my home supplies from Home Depot and I also give reviews and professionally answer questions from time to time and with that said, I was expecting a great hose, especially for the price and because this did say kink free and yet this is possibly the WORST hose I have ever purchased from anyone. I water every night and this kinks EVERY time I use it.....If I had not already been using it for 3 months I would be taking it back for a refund. Pure Junk.

A:  I have not noticed it kinking like some of the others I have. But it does not say on the package that it is kink free.

A:  Just used this hose over the weekend and didn't have any issues with "kinking".

A:  No it is not. I would not recommend this hose unless you keep it on a reel/spool.

A:  It seems to be a very well made and sturdy hose that is easy to install.

A:  Geneveve2: Really, it is the most reliable and best constructed water hose I have ever owned in more than 40 plus years; and I am not trying to win any sweepstakes.

A:  So, Home Depot has an ongoing sweepstakes promotion going on for reviewers, this is not to persuade each person to give an amazing head over heels review for any product on this site. It is simply a way to get people to review their products! Giving 5 stars on every product does not increase the chances of winning the sweepstakes. Likewise, it helps people like you and me to pick products with confidence. I've owned this hose for almost a month and I have had no issues using it. It's flexible and sturdy and I've had nothing bad happen to it. It just works, and works great!

A:  Positive. I am the owner of this hose and I highly recommend it if you are a home owner. It will kast you as long as you own your home. It looks and performs tougher than any hoses I have owned which I have had to replace in the 5 years I have owned my own. You need this hose, period.

A:  I don't hesitate to write a bad review if the product deserves it, even if there is a reward of some kind offered. I have two FlexRite hoses and they really are durable. Take a look at them in HD and then go to a discount store and examine their hoses- the difference is amazing.

A:  All the reviews that I do I test the product first, and I try to make a fair and honest review of it. Price comes and quality at the price. Yes it is a good hose for the price.

A:  The original packaging will tell you. I have a FlexRite Heavy Duty hose with a Lifetime Limited Warranty. This one requires that I send the hose ends with at least 6 inches of hose attached (I would include the leaking section also) along with the original dated sales receipt and the bar code from original packaging to their Customer Service in Ohio. If you do not have the original sales receipt and bar code then I doubt they will replace it. If it is only few weeks old you might try taking it back to the store you purchased it from. You will still need the sales receipt.

A:  Limited lifetime warranty, against workmanship under normal residential, non commercial for the warranty period. They will exchange the product of equal or better quality.

A:  This hose does have a "Limited Lifetime warranty". You may go to the store and read the label attached to it if you do not have yours or are considering to buy it. I hope this helps.

A:  The package said "Limited Lifetime Warranty". THis is on the Heavy-Duty Home Depot Flex Rite hose.

A:  I just bought it for the first time and taking it to a heavy duty winter area. Hopefully, I won't have to find out about the Limited Lifetime Warranty. Just thought I'd let you know the packaging doesn't define the "Limited Warranty." Sorry I can't help. I've used Colorite and this feels a LOT stronger!

A:  Has a limited Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in workmanship or materials. I don't believe the hose is defective, only poor quality.

A:  JC, You should bring the hose back to Home Depot. They are excellent with Return Items. I'm sure they would be helpful.

A:  This does have a "limited lifetime warranty." However, to make a warranty claim you have to send in a copy of the "dated cash register receipt", the UPC bar code from the packaging, and both couplings including at least 6 inches of hose on each coupling. Since you pay for the shipping for the above, I wouldn't quite call it free.

A:  According to the product packaging card I removed from the hoses I have, if you keep the receipt and the bar codes from the card on the coil of hose. You can send the hose ends with 6" of hose on each connector, the receipt and bar codes to Swan, the manufacturer, to have the hose replaced under warranty.

A:  The Home Depot offers most products a 90 return for any reason. All you have to do is present your purchase receipt for a full refund or exchange. The hose also has a Limited Life Warranty from the factory.

Sometimes due to the hardness of the water they leak rather quickly and is not the problem of the actual water hose itself. Just a possibility.
