A: Yes - vinyl with brass couplings. The threaded (male) end is not crimped well and will come off the hose.
A: I don't know, but it says it has High performance burst strength(400psi).
A: Yes
A: Yes this hose is Vinyl.
A: Yes, this hose is made out of a heavy duty vinyl. Coils easily, 400 psi burst strength and a limited life time warranty
A: Yes.
A: YES.
A: No.
A: It needs to be complete unrolled. The kinks in the hose makes it useless.
A: Yes as long as there is no kink in the hose. I never unwind all my hose when using. Great hose.
A: It flows nicely while on reel. Sturdy hose.
A: My 100 foot hose is rarely off its reel and water flows through well. Sometimes I use it extended but I notice no difference in water pressure whether the hose is on or off the reel.
A: The hose will work when on a reel.
A: Jim, I don't have mine on a hose so take this answer for whatever its worth. As soft and flimsy as the hose is, my GUESS is that it will not flow easily due to the weight of itself collapsing on itself. Maybe if you roll it up while the water is running through it then don't drain the line after turning it off it will work ok but I doubt it.
A: I don't have it on a reel. I've kept it out flat hoping it would reduce the kinks. Didn't work.
A: Mine works great with 3/4+ on a reel as long as I have not wound it so tightly as to constrict the hose.
A: Hi Jim, no problem, I have used that way for years works just fine
A: No to heavy and durable whether hot or cold weather.
A: Let me save you some agony...DO NOT GET THIS HOSE. Yes its very heavy...and VERY DIFFICULT to roll. I regret buying it. So there! Hope this helps.
A: The heavy duty structure of the hose makes it pretty heavy. This is way more than a plastic tube. I have it on an exterior mounted metal hose reel, and it works great! I'm lousy at weight estimations, but I'd guess around 25 pounds.
A: Weighs about 15lbs. Avoid buying this hose. It kinks badly..
A: According to the HD spec sheet it weighs 15 lbs
A: The 5/8" measurement is the inside diameter of the hose. Typically garden hoses come in 5/8" and 3/4" sizes.
A: Yes
A: Yes
A: The hose diameter is 5/8".
A: It is the size of the hose itself. The fitting is usually standard/same for any size household garden hose.
A: Click the BROWSE button halfway down the review page, select the picture from your computer and wait until it appears on the page.. See pic attached. Hope this helps!
A: load them from your desktop
A: The box that you write your answer in, well under it there's a small rectangular box with Choose File written in it. You click on that and it will take you to your pictures. Click on the picture and it will download it here.
A: There is a section to add photos that is under the comments section. You select your photos and upload them. You can upload up to 6 photos.
A: Hi Herculeshernandez Just at the tap "Add Photos:" click on Browse double lick on picture you want and that is it
A: they are aluminium however they seem to be very strong
A: The couplings are a brass coated aluminum.
A: Thefittings appear to be brass and of good quality, but the rest of the hose is junk.
A: brass
A: I think they were aluminum. I hated this hose and took it back.
A: I have had pretty good luck after I remove the washer. Don't know why this works but it seems to do the trick.
A: Mine does not leak. Try another washer on it.
A: try changing the rubber washer, it might look good but it probably is squeezed tight and no longer flexible, I hope that helps.
A: I have had this problem in the past and found that adding an additional washer and using a pair of pliers to GENTLY add a little more torque solved the problem. Hope this helps.
A: The only thing I would do is to maybe add another washer inside the hose connector to see if this helps. If not, I would call the manufacturer and file a complaint.
A: Hose is junk. HD should stop selling it.
A: Is this not normal?
A: Frank, the problem is water and two or three different kinds of metal that cause corrosion, and throw the lime in there with it. I had the same problem. I started using a product to spray with, called Blaster Corrosion Stop, that I use on the boat and it has stopped the door noise on our work vans that I sprayed about six months ago. I 've had to destroy a couple of my hoses to get them loose. Maybe this spray will solve it.
A: Return the hose and buy a better quality hose
A: Try using either plumbers tape or better yet, Vasoline.
A: I live by the ocean and have this issue all the time. If you keep the nozzle attached to the hose, one answer is to coat the male end with a grease, silicone, vaseline or some other type of stuff. This is to separate the two dis-similar metals of the nozzle and thread (of the hose), from oxidizing and bonding together. A simpler method is to use a nozzle with a plastic thread. Works for me but the nozzle fails within three years because the way they are made and I end up buying another one. Cheaper though than buying a new hose or repair adapter.
A: Yes. Cheap parts used in construction of hose caused rusting which contracts the coupler inner ring, making it all but impossible to un-fuze without destroying the hose. Basically it's made to die quickly so you have to buy another one soon.
A: Same here. I found that wrapping faucet nozzle with silicone tape helps a little, otherwise I just unscrew the hose every so often to stop it from fusing.
A: Clean off the mating surface.
A: Wrap some teflon tape around the threads of the spigot
A: Either return it to Home Depot and exchange or get a refund. They are very good at doing that. Or since the hose has a Limited Lifetime warrantee contact the manufacturer. 1 800 848-8707,
A: Same issue I had. I just contacted the mnf at https://www.swanhose.com/. Have not heard back yet.
A: Aside from returning the hose to the store, a big inconvenience, I would cut off the leaking parts and use a repair connector. Make sure to screw the connector snugly in place or you will have yet another leak. I know this sounds like a big pain in the neck but it might save a trip. While you are picking up the repair kit buy a couple extra. Always a good thing to have around.
A: I would contact customer service at your local store.
A: The best solution is to return the bad hose to your local Home Depot for a replacement. I have never had a problem with returning an item to HD
A: Package Claims the hose won’t kink. It did already with in a week. Fairs average for hose standards.
A: I had to go check this out, all my facets are 3/4 inch and the connectors on the hose are 3/4 inch, so they fit just right and no leaks. Go to your local Home Depot, Pro Counter and see if the guys or gals can help with this problem.
A: This was returned to vendor due to COVID shipping fail.
A: It would be best to contact Swan directly to see if they can send the correct end.
A: Yes, it's lite, no leaking, flexible, it works!
