Answer This Question
A: It plugs into regular wall sockets. In a power disruption or just needing to unplug it, you will have to restart it. Does not start going on its own after a blip. Least of my problems, I love vornados!

Answer This Question
A: No it can not be mounted on a wall, unless you install a shelf and place it there
by|May 11, 2020
A: No. It has a flat base for tabletop or floor locations. If you mounted a shelf on the wall, it would sit on the shelf without a problem - not a lot of vibration.
It is an excellent unit - I use it when running blueprints and it blows away any ammonia odor - even on the lowest setting.

A: I don't believe this is suitable for wall mounting. I either place it on a horizontal surface or in a window. It's a great fan, though.
by|May 3, 2020
A: No, we do not recommend it.

A: The unit appears to be sealed. I would use compressed air to clean the inside.
by|Jan 19, 2019
A: Yes, the grill is removable for cleaning.
by|Jan 26, 2019
A: Yes it does. Some versions have only 1 screw to remove to take the grills off
by|May 11, 2020
A: Yes. There are 8 screws to remove before the flat (front) panel will disengage.
by|Jan 22, 2019
A: It does, but it's time consuming. You have to unscrew 8-10 screws on the back of the unit, remove the front grill, and then you can clean the blades pretty easily. Grill you can wash, but I use Q-Tips to clean around the motor and between the back slats.

A: No, it’s not quiet. It has 3 levels and each level gers louder. If you don’t mind white noise then you won’t mind this fan. It works really well. We have 4 of them. My daughter uses level 2 when she sleeps because of the air it gives off but she also like the white noise. Hope this helps.

Q:could this product be placed on a gas fireplace hearth to circulate warm/hot air? I am concerned that because the casing is plastic it might melt or be a fire hazard.

A: you are correct,it would be careless to try that. I have a pellet stove and I put mine next to it, on low, to circulate the air.

A: If the surface is hot and the air is hot, I do not recommend it. However, if the surface is cool and the air is just warm, this should not harm the fan. Please be certain to monitor the air and surface temperatures.

A: In the past we've set this fan on the floor at the side of the hearth but never in front of the fireplace to circulate the air.

Answer This Question
A: The circulation is good for a garage.
by|May 5, 2023
A: I bought this fan to place at our bedroom sliding door to bring the cool night air inside. It works great. As for your garage, I don't know. A fan only moves air around, it does not cool it. It will help some in your garage as it is powerful and efficient. I don't know how much cooler it will be, but I believe it definitely will be a little cooler. I think it's worth a try.
by|May 4, 2023
A: Your garage may be too large for this fan to work properly. You need elevated windows for warm air to escape.
