A:  Yes. I noticed the exact same thing. I’m not a mathematic genius, but usually “bulk” is cheaper, which in this case, it is substantially more!?!?!

To get the same amount of coverage in the bags it would only cost $156 compared to $399 . I know where I will be buying my Vigoro mulch and it won’t be The Home Depot!

A:  My mulch doesn’t move. We’ve had it in place for a year now and it still looks great.

A:  it will blow away unless you use a rubber binder such as polyurathane from what i have read anywere from a 10 to a 20% ratio of glue to rubber but 10% would work fine for a mulch bed 20% would be a much tighter or more fine look.

A:  No, the 38.5 cu. ft. size is the smallest size currently available.

A:  I did see shredded comsistency at the store but I prefer the nuggets.

A:  accordint to the conservation department snakes do not like rubber.

A:  I do not know if the rubber mulch prevents rodents or snakes. hoever, ants and termites do not care for it.

A:  I don't know, i don't have a pet. Its only ground up rubber so it doesn't seem like it would bother one.

A:  Hasn't bothered my Dog or Cats. I assume if they tried to eat it you would have problems. It's rubber!

A:  Its rubber. If ingested it will cause problems. Neither my German Sheppard nor my cats have been affected by walking on it nor have I seen them attempt to eat or chew it.

A:  Not that I know of. As far as I know it’s recycled rubber.
