Answer This Question

A:  Velux makes a rigid tunnel that can be installed on a flat roof that is the TCR 014. They recommend no more than a 20 foot run. If your application can accept a 20 foot run these please consider this product for the best application.

A:  Yes, it probably could. You could buy additional tubing to make it longer. But you will not have much light left after such a long run.

Q:I have dead fly's in my skylight how do you clean them out?

      Answer This Question

A:  To clean your Sun Tunnel, you must remove the diffusers. To remove the diffuser in your VELUX Sun Tunnel, you will need a flat head tool (flat head screwdriver or butter knife). Once you remove the trim ring from the ceiling, you will have access to the diffuser and the gasket. Simply wedge your tool between the gasket and the diffuser. The diffuser is pliable, so you will be able to pry it out of the gasket. Thank you.

Q:Light transmission quality using 13' of tubing.

          Answer This Question

A:  So many factors go into light transmission. The fun length, the type of tubing such as rigid vs. flexible, and how the dome or tunnel is positioned on the roof. With the rigid tunnel, on a northern exposure, with a very straight run,you sould get a great amount of light.

A:  No, our 10" Sun Tunnel must install on a minimum roof pitch of 14 degrees. If installed on a lower pitch,it could cause a leak and void your warranty. Thank you.
