A:  With most VELUX Skylights, you can add a shade to it after the skylights have been installed. To determine what is possible with your new skylights, please call VELUX Customer Service @ 1-800-888-3589 for assistance.

    A:  You may consider speaking with a VELUX Customer Service Representative @ 1-800-888-3589 to determine which shade will be appropriate for this skylight. There are slight size difference in shades that will fit a fixed skylight and those that will fit the venting style.

      A:  This is a blackout shade that is in a double pleated design. There is a Mylar material within the pleated pockets that block out the light.

          A:  If this is a deck mounted VELUX skylight manufactured from 2010-present day, this skylight should be the C06 size. It is available as a fixed unit (FS C06) or a manually venting (VS C06) or the electrically operable (VSE C06) and there is even a solar powered option called VSS C06.               A:  Hi Becky. Insect screens for roof windows are an optional purchase and operate on a track system. If a screen was in place on this roof window, it would require that you raise it in order to operate the shade.
