A: This is a blackout shade that is in a double pleated design. There is a Mylar material within the pleated pockets that block out the light.

A: If this is a deck mounted VELUX skylight manufactured from 2010-present day, this skylight should be the C06 size. It is available as a fixed unit (FS C06) or a manually venting (VS C06) or the electrically operable (VSE C06) and there is even a solar powered option called VSS C06. A: Hi Becky. Insect screens for roof windows are an optional purchase and operate on a track system. If a screen was in place on this roof window, it would require that you raise it in order to operate the shade.
