A:  These skylights are the same sized models, 2005 is the code for tempered glass and 2004 is for laminated. Both skylights have LoE 3 for Energy Efficiency.

A:  All standard VELUX deck mounted units come with the 04 Laminated Low-E glass. This glass has three layers of a silver coating or 366 glass. It is considered to be a clean, quiet, and safe product. VELUX does not recommend adding a third party coating. You might consider blinds as a substitute to provide a more balanced flow of natural light to any space.

A:  VELUX deck-mounted skylights will need to be on a sloped roof with a minimum pitch of 3:12 or greater and not suitable for this application. Please choose a curb-mounted skylight, which is engineered differently and can be used on a flat (zero sloped) roof up to a maximum 20:12 roof pitch.

A:  If you need a shingle roof flashing kit for a VCM 3030 curb mounted skylight, it can be found here: https://www.homedepot.com/p/202892009 If you have a VS M02 deck mounted skylight, the shingle roof flashing needed is called: EDL M08 0000B (although not shown on the website, it can be ordered through your local Home Depot store.

A:  Yes, this flashing kit will fit the S06-sized skylight when applying it to a shingle roof.

A:  Not really. It is designed for shingles. It would be possible to just caulk it in place but that is all that would provide the water barrier. I dont recommend it. Contact the manufacturer and see what they suggest.
