Questions and Answers for VELCRO 4 ft. x 2 in. Industrial Strength Tape

A:  Not recommended for underwater use.

A:  Package says ‘not to exceed 10lbs’ but make sure you wait the required 15 minutes for the adhesive to set before testing weight limit.

A:  The package says ‘not to exceed 10lbs’. I would not go higher than that, but I should caution that once the tape has been placed wait the 15 minutes as instructed so that the adhesive will firm up before testing the hold weight.

A:  It can hold up to 10 lbs.

A:  I'm doing the same project, but attaching the shade cloth to a plastic awning. I'm going to re-enforce the Velcro on the fabric by sewing it and the Velcro to the plastic awning using super glue. The weight is within guidelines.

A:  This will work if your a item is very light in weight and don’t get to hot.

A:  It doesn’t do well in the heat, unfortunately. The backing won’t hold securely.

A:  It probably will. It is extremely sticky

A:  I believe the Velcro will work just fine. Secure the loops to the bottom of your sandal and the soft part to your lift. Then attach and it will hold very tight.

A:  No I used it for cushions, it held a few days..

A:  I would give it a try. I am not sure how water effects it, but if applied while dry, it sticks very hard.

A:  Unknown do not own a boat. I do know that if you attach the Velcro tape to fabric & have a lot of on & off, the tape will eventually fail after a couple of years.

A:  I used it on outside cushions on my patio furniture and have been pleased with its effectiveness. They have stayed put in all weather.

A:  maximum temperature rating for Industrial strength is 0- 120 degrees Fahrenheit . however, we do have a product called Sticky back for Auto VELCRO® Brand Sticky Back for Autos is a vinyl-friendly adhesive suitable for vehicle interiors, including dashboards.  Indoor/outdoor use.  Not recommended for fabrics or underwater use.  Continued exposure to full sunlight can damage fastener.  Temperature rating -30° to 150° F. One square inch of Sticky Back for Auto will hold 1lb.

A:  Sticky back Velcrow tape works great. I used some in my Jeep to tape down the flaps inside of the hard windows. As long as you get it a little wider than you think you need, it will work just fine.

A:  It depends on weight of the decor, however avoid direct sun light or heat. I consider this is one of the best Velcro out there

A:  I do not have vinyl anything, so I would not be able to answer question specifically, but I use it everywhere instead of screws. It has only failed once & that failure took years of opening & closing the lid before it failed. I have used it on plastic, wood, metal & cloth & it works great.

A:  Yes, it will do the trick. It is a very strong adhesive.

A:  This velcro will stick to practically anything. The problem with it is that it’s so blended together that when you try to pull it apart the adhesive loosens.

A:  My quess based on my personal experience is that it probably would not. If it did you would need to use an excessive amount. This is only an opinion.

A:  I never try it on brick, i used at back of leather seat in my car, but Nevada trrible digit temperature melted glue of Velcro. Can’t imagine what it could do under the sun. Hope this help.

Has 50% of ultimate strength in 20 minutes.  UV, water and chemical resistant  Not recommended for fabrics, flexible vinyl or underwater use.  May not adhere well to certain types of brick, testing is recommended.  Total weight not to exceed 20 lbs. One square inch of Industrial Strength Extreme will hold 1 lb in a perfectly controlled environment. In a less than perfect environment, the closure will hold 1/2 LB.
