A: Hello,
This is designed to connect to pvc or iron pipe, it does not have a standard garden hose thread.
by|May 5, 2023
A: No. It uses pipe threads, not hose.
by|Nov 20, 2018
A: The threads are NPT, tapered plumbing threads, so if you wanted to place this inline with a garden hose you would need adapters, one on each end. Home Depot sells these.
by|May 5, 2023
A: you would have to get an adapter for each end from ftp thread to garden hose thread, also check the pressure rating of the check valve and your house water pressure.

A: I bought it for mop sink (water back flowed since my mop sink is in basement, so I bought it), but the water pressure required was too high for regular water flow. I fixed the issue by changing the screw inside to a longer one to reduce the pressure needed for the valve to open. I suppose you could do the same.

A: Hi,
This valve requires pressure to open and as a result, it will create a reduction in flow. Please only use this valve on pressure lines.
