Q:Does the provided metal screen, is it bug proof ? Do we get the view on the outside when the door is closed ? With or without lights turned on outside?

Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your interest in our Solana Security door. The perforated metal screen on the Solana will deter most large flying insects however the security door is not sealed on the top and bottom. You may want to consider the purchase of a door seal kit to seal the top and bottom. This can be viewed on homedepot.com using internet id #202098362. Additionally, the perforated screen will obscure visibility into the house from the exterior during the daytime hours but during the nighttime and if lights are on inside the home, outsiders can see inside. I hope this information is helpful.

        Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your interest in our Solana Security Door. Handing is usually referenced as the view from the outside of the door. When you are viewing the image on homedepot.com and select the handing button online, the image shown will represent the image as if you are standing outside the home and looking at the door. Another way to understand handing is that it is the natural hand you would use to reach towards the knob to open the door. A Right-Hand door would indicate you use your right hand to naturally reach for the door to open it. I hope this is helpful.

              Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your interest in our Solana Security Door. The Solana only comes in white or tan but if you are looking for other color options, we do have a similar style in our Sunfire Premium Aluminum door and you have the choice of 12 different colors as well as different screen and glass insert options. The premium aluminum door will never rust unlike the Solana which is made of steel and may despite its powder coated finish. You can view our Sunfire door on homedepot.com using internet id #207112660. Additional colors and inserts are available via special order at your local Home Depot store. I hope this information is helpful for you.
