      Answer This Question

A:  I guess it can if it is until a covered area like a patio. I wouldn't trust it just out in the open where it can get rained on.

A:  No, the cord protector cannot be used outside.

A:  I haven't used it outdoors but it works great indoors. I would be concerned about shrinkage and expansion over large temperature swings outdoors. J

A:  How big is the outdoor electrical cord diameter? The center channel might work, as it's larger than the side ones. The idea is the electrical cord is small enough that the plastic protector is not misshaped with a cord inside. The plastic protector is weatherproof, however it comes with sticky tape (double sided) and the idea is to stick the protector to the floor so it can't get kicked around. Will it be on a clean, dry, smooth outdoor surface? If not, it probably will not stick and the whole thing could be a tripping hazard. I changed the position of mine after using the double-stick tape provided and the glue residue is hard to remove. I used nail polish remover and lots of scrubbing.

A:  I don't see why not. Just remember it doesn't cover the plug ends.

A:  Adhesive is strong and will damage drywall.

                      by|Jan 7, 2019

A:  Probably. There is no adhesive on the backside, but if you used two sided tape it is light enough to stick to the wall.

A:  Yes. With the right two-sided tape you could. Removal might be an issue but it could be used that way.

A:  Yes, it sticks to the wall. You are able to hide up to 2 wires, 3 is very tough. For best results, paint the same color as your wall.

A:  I suppose you could use it for that purpose but the double sided tape that comes with it may ruin the paint on the wall.

A:  I would not suggest using any cord protector on a plush carpet. The adhesive is a roll of 2 sided tape that will leave residue anywhere. It should be fine on something like a compact closed loop or commercial carpet.

                                                                by|May 5, 2023

I don't believe the tape will ruin the carpet at all. It's just like strong 'scotch' tape. It's needed because the cord protector comes in a roll and wants to 'curl up' when it's laid out. I even left mine stretched out flat for several days before installing, but it still curled up - thus needing the tape.

                                                                  by|May 5, 2023
