A:  I belive code is 3 feet or install a noncombustable product on walls. such as Durock. Best bet is to talk to a wood stove sales place in your area. Barrel stoves, I belive are out lawed in a home because of fire danger. Hope this helps.

A:  I'm not sure as I don't have a 100gal propane tank. But two concerns would be the curve of the tank vs barrel (for Flue) and ability of legs to hold the weight of tank.

A:  NO. I am familiar with only 2 types of 100lb tanks. I am sure you would not be able to mount the door on them. Not enough flat surface.
