A:  The space between the legs measures 16 inches.

A:  Hello MJ, The length between the two leg assemblies is 16". However, the feet also have an opening on either end that is raised about 1", therefore you could potentially slide the edges of a stand underneath this gap if necessary. Thank you for your question, Bryce

A:  Hello! Yes, this 36" Monterey Bay Table can be used with an umbrella. It is manufactured with a 1.75 inch umbrella hole. It will also come with an umbrella plug if you decide not to use an umbrella. Thank you for the great question! Ashley

A:  Hello! Polywood will retain a small amount of heat from the summer sun however, they shouldn't become painful to the touch. The Monterey Bay 36" table currently doesn't fold. If you would like to break it down to put it away, you will have to disassemble the legs. There is a folding chair that would pair nicely with this table. It is called the Yacht Club Highback Folding Chair.
