Q:How do I get the scratches out and shine back?
by|Mar 14, 2016

Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. Try using a quality vinyl floor cleaner and a scotch brite pad (follow the directions on the bottle). If it is a surface scratch, use the green side of a scotch bright pad and the cleaner and gently work into the affected areas. This will help hide the scratch, not remove it! If the scratch has penetrated the top layer, then the plank will have to be replaced.

Q:How would I secure this if I used it for stairs? Is there an easy way to cut it?

            Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. We do not recommend or warranty this product on stairs. Once the product is glued down it is not free floating and would void the warranty. If you chose to glue it down I would use a reputable vinyl adhesive, anything found in Home Depot works. You can use a stair/bullose molding to finish it off. A company called Zamma makes moldings that match our product. You can do a search on HomeDepot dot com to find all their options or use a laminate or wood bullnose that coordinates.

                      Answer This Question

A:  Hi there Lisa, Unfortunately this product is not designed to be put atop carpeting. The softer surface of the carpeting does not allow for a rigid substrate that this product needs. You'll find over time that your seams will become soft from not having anything underneath them to support the walking weight above them.

A:  Thank you for your question. No, this product can not be laid over anything soft or sponge like.
