A:  Thanks for your question. We do not recommend or warranty installing this product on stairs because it cannot be glued down. Home Depot carries coordinating trim and molding pieces (manufactured by Zamma) for many of our products but not for this particular color.

A:  I would say it would work great for that install. Has a feel sort of like stiff Linoleum and it conformed to my elevation changes just fine. Install it when warm and you should have no issues.

A:  Thank you for your question-Subfloors should be flat within a tolerance of 1/4" (6 mm) over 10' (3.05 m). Subfloors should not slope more than 1" (2.5 cm) per 6' (1.8 m) in any direction. Rises or voids must be sanded or filled with a cementitious leveling/patching compound.

A:  Edges are not beveled the glue is around edges for attachment to next piece . Autumn oak makes a beautiful floor

A:  There are glue strips on the floor and instructions say to NOT adhere to floor in any way, only to itself. It is a floating floor.

A:  It is interlocking and has adhesive sides

A:  The vinyl plank flooring should not be installed over glued down carpet, especially if there will be furniture installed on top of it.

A:  I have not installed th oak over glued carpet but I have installed the teak which is the same material different color. I love this product and use it frequently in my apartment rentals and have used it for personal use. Love the khaki oak for baths as it simulates the gray wood tile look popular now. I would not be afraid to install autumn oak over glued carpet that is solidly attached

A:  I would not recommend installing this flooring over glue-down carpet. It would leave too much movement of the vinyl and allow for shifting and pulling apart.

A:  Thanks for your question. This cannot be installed over any type of carpet. It will void the warranty and give the planks far too much cushion and cause movement and gapping of the planks.

A:  Hi Karen I believe so. I used it on plywood in an entryway. I really liked it easy to clean. I would just make sure it’s faily flat. If you have missing tiles fill that spot in this product is flexible.

A:  Yes it goes over very easy This product is perfect for that

A:  Yes, providing the tile surface is smooth. If it has a grooved pattern or is chipped or pitted, you will need to put down some form of leveler before installing the planks.

A:  I wouldn’t. The vinyl is not stable enough. I’m not a contractor but I would remove it. Look at You Tube DIY ( do it yourself). I’ve found the free video instructions very clear and helpful

A:  Mine was installed easily over linoleum tiles.

A:  Yes we installed it over bare concrete in one room and over linoleum and tile in rest of the house. Looks beautiful and held up nicely.

A:  Yes, works just fine. We lay a layer of tar paper first as it gives a softer feel for walking.

A:  Thanks for your question. You can put this over tile but the grout lines should be filled in/leveled with a cement based leveling compound. You don't want the grout lines to telegraph through the planks.
