Answer This Question
A: I have it for just this purpose. It runs 24/7 outside, in a (roughly) 300 gallon pond, just for circulation. Occasionally have to pull the hose and clean algae from it, but otherwise it never gets turned off.

Q:Whst size hose do i need to buy? 3/4 or 1/2
by|Jan 23, 2022

Answer This Question
A: Depends on the type of hose you buy. The pump shown has a lip on it. Measure across the lip and that is the OD or outside diameter of the valve or lip. If you measure the inside of the lip or inside that hole that is the ID or inside diameter. That should tell you which hose to buy. Note : if the hose goes on the OD you might consider a zip tie or hose clamp to hold the hose since it moves 500 GPH or gallons per Hour.
