A: Covering your pool is not necessary during winter. Store cover in garage or someplace away from weather and sun. Treat and filter your pool water as required. During warm season extend the life of your solar cover by protecting it from the sun when it is rold up off the pool. Covers are available on Websites for around $20. I live in California. There may be other recommendations for your area.

A: I use it as a cover all year except for July and August. But I live in the desert. I take it off every few weeks in the winter to brush and clean the pool. I don't know where you are or your winter conditions.

A: You need to lay it on your pool and cut out where you need it for the stair rails. Cut a straight line to the post then enlarge just that area.

A: Down. If the bubbles were up, debris would get caught in them too easily.

A: Down. The bubbles go on the bottom to disperse the suns heat to the water effectively.
