A: You can cut it to fit easily with a razor blade.

A: The cover cuts quite easily, but in its as shipped form, it has a nice strong border of plastic without the air bubbles. When you cut it to a smaller size, two sides will no longer have this border, and the air bubbles will go all the way to the edge. This could fray over time, but it still works fine.

A: The cover is a big plastic sheet. There are no hooks or couplers. We are in the south and it provides just what we need to keep the water warm enough to swim well into November.

A: No the cover does not have hooks it just lays on top

A: Willi this particular Thermo Tex pool cover does not attach. The way I used this cover is to lay it out on top of your pool until it settles on top of the water.
Once it is in place you cut off the sides and trim the cover to the design-shape and size of your pool.

A: This is very light and really easy to set up. I have a 14' x 24' pool and the setup took 3 minutes by two persons or 10 minutes by myset. Yes, I run my pumps under the cover without problem, and the cover warms my pool in Florida every efficiently in one day or two. One thing I notice is the underwater robot may not work, as the cover removes most of the waves generated by the pumps.

A: Yes, It will heat slower but will also keep more of the heat in at night than an uncovered pool.

A: In my experience yes. An exact fit is always best however I use a smaller one so it's easier for me to handle and it does a great job warming it up. Doesn't work as well as one that fits it perfect would but it still heats up my pool about 10 degrees in 3 days. Definitely works for me.

A: I will NOT buy this cover again, It failed with in 1 year was covered under warranty but shipping cost would have been more than I paid for the cover. Makes no sense to me!

A: I don’t know what the difference is for above ground and in ground solar covers. But the last solar cover I had was this brand from Home Depot and it was the best solar cover so far and I’ve had quit a few. The last one I ordered, that I haven’t received yet, it a 6 mil instead of 8 mil. I’m anxious to see how it works out.

A: I bought mine 2 years ago. I have seen some failure last year and only expect to get the three years of usage. I roll it up and cover it whit a tarp during the winter. Some of the older solar covers I purchased have lasted up to five years. I quess you get what you pay for. All in all am satisfied with the quality for the price. Much cheaper than at the local pool stores.

A: Hi BlueJ
Thank you for your question.
According to the manufacturer, Polyair Thermo-Tex, you can use the pool cover in the same manner as you would for an y in-ground pool. Just be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
